Battlefleet offers seven types of missions that will be repeated throughout the whole game. In every mission you will either attack or defend, so make sure you know what to do before each mission. Every mission has a time limit, so if you do not meet the objectives of the mission before the time ends, it means you lose, regardless of the advantages that have made. The story is the same if you defend, should you manage to hold certain positions until the end of the mission, it will be counted as a win. Of course, the mission can be completed faster if you or your opponent will manage to realize its objective. Keep in mind that the mission could end in failure if all your capital ships are destroyed or flee from the battlefield.

Available types of missions:

  • Cruiser Clash

The aim of the mission is to destroy all enemy units, or to force them to flee the battlefield. Depending on the assumed role, you will either be forced to a strong attack, or you avoid the enemy and play for time. Heavy units are handy for this mission, a good idea is to select several smaller but quick craft, which instantly intercept single enemy ships and stop their attack.

  • Convoy

As part of the mission of your fleet will be expanded with units transporting supplies. Transport units are quite slow, and your task will be getting them to the edge of the map. You win if most ships manage to get there. The easiest way out here, is to sacrifice one of the transporters - when it is identified and the hostile units start to attack, you can sneak with the rest of your fleet. Both heavy and light units will be useful. It's best to pick one or two cruisers and a couple of smaller units.

  • Assassination

The objective here is to seek and destroy a specific target. You have limited time for finishing the mission, so you have to find the target and destroy it as quickly as you can. The condition of victory is destroying the hostile unit – you can’t let it escape with Warp Jump. Try to maintain a distance that allows unconstrained exchange of fire throughout the whole mission.

  • Data Recovery

Recovery missions appear to be easy, but they're not. The extracted data can be lost easily, and it's sometimes impossible to get it back. The best choice here are heavy ships that are equipped with data extraction tools, and which can make a quick warp jump. Be very careful with the extracted data, and try to keep all your ships close to the target.

  • Space Station Assault

During this mission, you will be taken into a defense sector of a specific planet. As the attacker, you have to destroy defensive platforms as well as the planet’s space station. The station is armed, however, and has considerable firepower. Additionally, hostile fleet will try to defend the station at all cost. As the defender you can’t let those facilities be destroyed

  • Breakthrough

The task is to destroy the space stations, which block access to a particular planetary system. The best option is to choose one large ship and any available number of smaller ships. Choose the fastest of the light aircraft. The flagship should focus the attention of enemy units and then withdraw from the battlefield. In order to complete the mission, you need to destroy all the key facilities and the main ship has to return safely.

Up to four factions can play in a 2v2 game. Each mission has a different tonnage assigned. The available tonnage is divided between all the participants.
