Loadouts are one of the few new mechanics introduced in update 1.6.1. They allow you to save your sets of weapons, pieces of armor, upgrades, skills and talents in one of the six slots. Thanks to that players can create 6 sets of skills or a few different character builds.

How to create and use Loadouts?

Loadouts make the gameplay much easier.

Loadouts window can be activated in the inventory ("I" key in default) - open your inventory and select the second tab. There, you can see 6 empty slots. Select one of them and then select SAVE - your currently equipped items, upgrades, talents and skills are now saved in the selected slot.

To make another Loadout, you have to change items, abilities and talents to those that you want to use as another Loadout. Then, go back to the Loadout screen and save your new one in another slot. You can have up to 6 Loadouts. When you have to change your currently equipped items and abilities, you can simply go to the Loadout screen and select one of the previously created sets. Your character will equip them immediately.

Here you can find a few useful tips about using this game mechanic:

1. You can save up to 6 Loadouts and change their names - this can help you in the future when you have a few completely different Loadouts.
2. Loadouts are great when you want to use a few different builds with one character. You can create a character that focuses on dealing damage but you can also create a Loadout that would work as a support or a tank. Simply change your Loadout and adjust your character to your current needs.
3. You can change Loadouts whenever you want. However, you can't do that in combat - there must be no enemies nearby.
4. If you changed only one item or an ability in a given Loadout then you can simply overwrite it - you don't have to delete the previous version and then save the new one.
5. This game mechanic is great when you are participating in more difficult missions such as Incursions or later waves in Resistance mode where flexibility and ability to react quickly is at a premium.
