Employer: Vittori [South Quarter / Riverside - The Siren's Rest]
Availability: You get the opportunity to start this mission after you have completed the fifth chapter of the campaign mode. Apart from that, you need to have completed The Carnal Connoisseur.
Return to The Siren's Rest tavern [South Quarter / Riverside - The Siren's Rest] and meet Vittori. The man wants to task you with a mission connected with freeing his dear Ysabella, who has been arrested and is being currently held at one of the local watch stations. Of course, it is a good idea to take up this mission, but you need to make sure, before you start it, that you have the Wrench on you, because you will not be able to find all collectibles otherwise.
Your destination is the watch station in [Stonemarket - Watch Station Plaza], which neighbors the Market Street [Stonemarket - Market Street]. Garrett visits that place, among others, along his way to the place where the sixth chapter of the campaign mode starts so, if you have any problems planning your route, see the walkthrough at the page entitled Reach Baron Northcrest's Estate in Auldale. Watch out for the single guard that is patrolling the area around the passage, interact with the gate and confirm that you want to start the side mission [Stonemarket - Watch Station Loading Area].
Start by climbing, using the claw, and reach the room above. Crouch and open the door, to the room on the right, carefully. [Stonemarket - Watch Station Offices]. You will learn that the station has been seized by criminals and the office here is being patrolled by one of them. If you want to, you can try to rob this person of, as many as, three Coin Purses - 3+3+3G, but you need to watch out and avoid walking on the broken glass. Around, you can also find a Watch Seal - 20G, an Ink Bottle - 3G and a safe, which it is best to break into after you take the lights out and distract the bandit. Inside the safe, there is a Watch Medal - 30G and two Bonds - 2x20G.
Carefully, approach the Northern door but, do not haste to open it. Take a look through the keyhole and wait for the bandit with a torch to walk past the door. Only then, enter this location (close the door after you enter!). I recommend that you go East here and hide near the stairs to the lower level (the Eastern door), which you are going to climb down a bit later. Note - if you want to rob the two enemies (the one with the torch and the one kneeling at the Western door) you need to watch out and keep a careful eye at the environment, but you can obtain, thanks to this, four additional Coin Purses - 5+7+3+15G).
Wait for the opponent with the torch to walk past Garrett again and make sure that the area to the North of you is safe. After that, walk into the room there, which is being patrolled by a bandit. I recommend that you rob this character of the Coin Purses - 5+2+2G and start avoiding him, while watching out for the bird in the cage. This is why, you should not run here, or even walk faster. In this room, you will find a Ring - 14G, an Ink Bottle - 3G and a Letter Opener - 6G.
Wait for a good moment to jump towards the opening in the veiling, shown in the screenshot, which is located in the Western part of the Northern room that you care currently staying in. This will allow you to reach the Western office at the higher floor in the watch station [Stonemarket - Watch Station Overseer's Office], i.e. the one that one of the enemies is trying to open the door to. The most important items to find here is the Station Cells Key, but apart from that, you can also find a Baron's Bust - 25G).
Again, jump towards the opening and cross the Northern room [Stonemarket - Watch Station Offices], while watching out for the bandit and the bird in the cage. Approach the central area, wait for the opponent with the torch to walk past Garrett and reach the Eastern door quickly. In here, there are stairs to the lower level in the building [Stonemarket - Watch Station Hall]. After you take the stairs, approach the two criminals and wait for them to walk away.
The exploration of this floor of the watch building is purely optional, and highly risky at the same time. Even though, you will be able to obtain many new items. The main hall is being guarded by two opponents, but only one of them is paroling this area. Just like in the case of the previous opponents that you encountered, it is worth noting that they have Coin Purses - 3+5+17G. Unfortunately, the light switch is at the other end of the room, on the left, due to which it will be much more difficult to avoid the enemies. At first, you will have to take risk and use throwables to your aid.
If you have managed to walk around, or distract the enemies, take a look around for a Candlestick - 6G, a Watch Seal - 20G, a register (Vittori Client Jobs - Prison Register), a Letter Opener - 3G and a plaque (City Heritage Plaques - Watch Station), which you can remove with the Wrench. While you are here, you can take a look into the locker room [Stonemarket - Watch Station Lockers] located in the South-Eastern part of this floor. Start avoiding the bandit here and try to rob him of two Coin Purses - 7+5G. you can find here a Spoon - 2G, two Knives - 2x2G and two Forks - 2x2G. It is going to be the most difficult with accessing the locked chest. Try to time both of these actions well together, while using focus to your advantage and a throwable, to distract the opponent. Inside the chest, there is a collectible (Whiteridge's Duty - The Porcelain Lady).
regardless of whether you have ransacked the upper floor of the building or not, take the stairs to the basement [Stonemarket - Watch Station Cells]. Find another Watch Seal - 20G here and use the lockpicks to open the Northern door (you will appreciate this towards the end of the mission). Finally, approach the gate to the West and open it with the Station Cells Key the office on the highest floor of this building. .
Enter the hall with the holding cells. I recommend that you do not get the idea to loot the cells, which are not connected with the mission that you are currently doing, because all you would find there is a Poppy and you would also run into two bandits inside. As a result, it is best to use the key and open the cell where Ysabella is being kept. There are two unexpected things that you are going to witness here - one of them connected with the looks of Vittori's love and also Ysabella's swooning to see you. Pick up the unconscious woman and walk towards the exit from the location with cells, because there appeared two bandits here, in the meantime.
The criminals will stop in the central part of the basement and they will make your task much more complicated. I recommend that you start by using a throwable and throw it somewhere into the area, where there are the stairs that you took to descend to the basement. Pick up the unconscious Ysabella quickly, walk to the right and take the dimly-lit passage to the right shown in the above screenshot. Note - if you want to rob one of the enemies here, you 'd better do that before you leave the basement. You can obtain, this way, a Coin Purse - 17G.
Put Ysabella on the ground after you approach the brightly-lit area and use a throwable again. This time throw it towards the hall with the cells which you have just left. Wait for the guards to walk away and press the button to turn the lights off. Then, pick up Ysabella again. DO NOT GO towards the stairs; instead, proceed towards the Northern passage that you unlocked earlier [Stonemarket - Watch Station Backdoor]. The only thing that you now have to do is carry the unconscious Ysabella along several empty corridors and reach the exit gate.
After you return to Stonemarket [Stonemarket - Watch Station Plaza] climb up the rope to reach the location in which you started this mission. You can now return to The Siren's Rest tavern and meet up with Vittori for the last time.
This is the list of the most important items that you can find during Vittori's side mission:
- 2 Collectibles
- 18 Loot
If you want to replay the this side mission, you may press the "Play Again" button, still while viewing the summary screen. If you want to return to this mission later on, e.g. after you have obtained new gadgets, you need to reach, again, the gate near the Market Street.
