This guide page for New World describes the Weaponsmithing skill. You will learn about the Crafting Station and crafted items and how to advance Weaponsmithing to the next levels.
Crafting station and crafted items
You can use Weaponsmithing at a Forge available in any settlement. Use the skills to create white weapons - rapiers, two-handed axes, battle hammers, and shields. Weaponsmithing is related to skills such: Smelting, Leatherworking, and Mining. These will allow you to get the materials required for crafting items.
Fast leveling Weaponsmithing
A way to level up Weaponsmithing in New World fast is creating Weak Honing Stones available at Level 20 and Iron Great Axes. These items offer the best ratio of material quality to experience points.
Level 0 - 20:
To reach Level 20 of Weaponsmithing, it is enough to create 15 Iron Great Axes. To do this, you will need:
- 180 x Iron Ingot
- 45 x Timber
- 30 x Coarse Leather
The crafting materials above are easy to get even in the initial locations of the game. Iron Ingots are melted from Iron Ores you can find in mines and mountain areas. You will get Timber processing Green Wood gathered from trees and bushes. And Coarse Leather you will get after processing the Rawhide of dead animals.
Level 20 - 50:
After you reach Level 20 of Weaponsmithing, you can craft 228 Weak Honing Stones made from:
- 228 x Stone block
- 228 x Death Mote
- 228 x Fire Mote
Stone block it is obtained by processing the stone gathered from boulders. The Death Mote you will get from Blightroot Plant and Fire Mote from Dragonglory - both plants are available in Windsward.
Level 50 - 200:
At Level 50 of Weaponsmithing, it is worth getting back to craft the previously mentioned axes. You will have to create about 9170 Iron Great Axes, and you will need the following crafting materials:
- 110028 x Iron Ingot
- 27507 x Timber
- 18338 x Coarse Leather
