You can only play New World with friends only if everyone is playing on the same server. Because of that, many players are looking for a way to change the server. On this guide page, you will learn whether it is possible to change a server and how to do it.
How to change the server?
Changing the server in New World is possible, but unfortunately comes with some limitations. To change the server, you must create a new character - there is no option to transfer the current character to another server. Moreover, you can only create the second character on the set of servers where the first character was created. This means that if you created the first character on a set called Vanaheim, the second character will also have to be created there. If you want to move to another set of servers, you must first delete the characters.
It is worth adding one exception to the above information. The creators announced that after about two weeks after the premiere of New World, players will be able to transfer characters between servers for free. You won't have to delete characters anymore.
