In New World better weapons and armor allow you to kill stronger opponents, participate in expeditions, perform higher-level missions or defeat other players in PvP mode. So it is worth knowing, how to get better weapons and armor. There are several different ways to do this in the game, because stronger weapons can be crafted, bought from other players, or found during exploration - all this is described on this page of the guide.
Crafting
The best weapons and armor in New World can be acquired through crafting. Creating your own items affects their bonuses, which allows you to match additional attributes and perks to your character build. However, this is the most time-consuming way, because the development of professional skills (forging weapons, for example) to the appropriate level can take a really long time. It often also involves the need to spend gold to buy the required materials for crafting.
You'll find all the crafting stations in the settlements. Weapons and armor are made in the Forge, but other stations will be needed to produce materials for crafting.
Buying from other players
In each settlement in New World you will find Trading Posts, where you can sell items. Of course, the list of offers also includes many weapons and armor. So this is a quick way to get better weapons, but it can involve a lot of expenses - you usually have to pay a lot for the best weapons and armor.
Arming factions
Trade in New World is based on the offers of players, but the exception to this is the armament of the faction available from the representatives of the factions in the settlements. You can buy all kinds of armor and weapons from them. These are not the best quality items, but they can be useful when collecting gold or resources for better weapons. To buy faction items, you need gold and tokens earned by completing faction missions.
Finding items in the game world
Weapons can also be obtained during the exploration of the game world. Here, unfortunately, the factor of randomness has a big influence - a lot of time can pass before the right item falls out of monsters or crates. Of course, in more demanding locations you will get better weapons. Expeditions deserve special attention, because from one expedition you can get up to a dozen pieces of armor and armor.
