This guide page for New World describes the Bow skill. Here you will find a list of all passive and active skills and learn which character attribute to develop to deal more damage with bows. The Bow skill allows you to fight from a distance. It has quick reloading and works great with evading and continuous movement.

Skirmisher - active skills

Poison Shot - creates a 3 meters wide poisonous cloud and lasts for 10 seconds. Opponents in the cloud are poisoned and receive 10% damage every second for 20 seconds.

  1. Infected Arrows - poison deals 12% damage every second for 20 seconds.
  2. Direct Hit - if you hit the target directly, it receives 200% poison damage.

Evade Shot - jump 5 meters backward and shoot an arrow dealing 125% damage.

  1. Evasice Knockback - a hit knocks the target back by 2 meters.
  2. Go The Distance - performing this skill grants you a 15% Haste effect (you move faster) for 5 seconds.

Rain Of Arrows - shoot up arrows that fall in an area with a diameter of 7 meters and deal 150% damage.

  1. Barbed Arrows - rain of arrows inflicts bleeding that deals 85% damage within 15 seconds (stacks up to 3 times).
  2. Hooked Arrows - rain of arrows inflicts a 15% Slow effect (target moves slower) for 12 seconds.

Skirmisher - passive skills

Evasive Tactics - after dodging, you deal 20% more damage for 5 seconds.

Catch Me If You Can - if there are 3 or more enemies within 3 meters, you get a 20% Haste effect (you move faster).

Impale - if you hit the target with full health, you will slow it down by 10% for 2 seconds.

Closing In - if the target's health is less than 50%, the skill will reduce bow abilities' cooldown by 5%.

Dodge and Weave - when you dodge, you get a 10% Haste effect (you move faster) for 2 seconds.

Hunter's Insight - if the target has an active negative effect, the hit restores 5 Stamina.

Archer's Speed - when you change the weapon to a bow, you get a 10% Haste (move faster) for 5 seconds.

Mark - deal 10% more damage to targets with an active negative effect.

Battle Precision - the negative effects you apply last 20% longer.

Knee Shot - a shot in the legs inflicts a 10% Slow (the target moves slower) for 2 seconds.

Hunter - active skills

Rapid Shot - fire 3 arrows in a row. The first two will deal 100% weapon damage. The last one will knock the target back and deal 125% damage.

  1. Rapid Accuracy - if all three shots hit the same target, the Rapid Shot cooldown will be reduced by 50%.
  2. Final Blow - the third arrow deals additional 25% damage.

Penetrating Shot - fire an arrow dealing 150% weapon damage, that pierces targets and flies for 100 meters.

  1. Blood Soaked Arrow - each hit increases damage by 10% (maximum 50%).
  2. Deep Strike - the arrow deals 20% more damage to targets that are at least 20 meters away.

Splinter Shot - fire an arrow that splits into 3 arrows after flying 10 meters, dealing 50% weapon damage.

  1. Scatter Shot - the arrow splits into 5 arrows.
  2. Calculated - reduces the cooldown by 10% with each hit.

Hunter - passive skills

Long Range - deal 20% more damage to enemies that are at least 10 meters away.

Aim True - shots fired as a heavy attack fly faster and deal 30% more damage.

Finishing Shot - if the target has less than 50% health, you deal 20% more damage.

Unbreakable Focus - you get 10% less damage when aiming.

Opening Strike - heavy attacks deal 20% more damage to enemies with full health.

Arrow Range - increases the range of the shot before it begins to fall by 100%.

Bullseye - increases the chance of a critical hit by 10%.

Surprise Attack - if the enemy has not received any damage from during the last 10 seconds, you will deal 20% more damage.

Hawkeye - headshots restore 10% of your health.

Concussion - headshots deal 20% more damage and you have a 50% chance of recovering the arrow.
