Hogwarts Legacy: A Basis for Blackmail Hogwarts Legacy guide
Natty, one of the characters in Legacy of Hogwarts, will ask for your help in the Relationship quest A Basis for Blackmail. Our walkthrough will allow you to complete all mission objectives.

At some point in Hogwarts Legacy, you will receive a letter from Natsai Onai which will unlock the Relationship Quest called A Basis for Blackmail. On this page, you will learn how to search the Ashwinders' Hideout and find Natty, a love letter and a book of poems.

Unlocking the quest
The relationship quest will be unlocked after completing the previous one for Natty - The Lost Child. After a short conversation with Natsai in the Mum's the Word side quest, she will send you a letter with the details of the next meeting.
If you haven't received Natty's letter yet, complete some main quests.
When the girl talks to you, go to the agreed place near Hogsmeade. She will give you information about 3 people you need to meet.
Rewards for completing the quest
- 180 XP;
- you will unlock the next Relationship Quest Natty.
Speak with Agabus Philbert
Agabus is standing near the herbalist's shop. The man will tell you about the book Harlow stole from him.
Speak with Daisy Rabe
You can meet Daisy Rabe on the top floor of The Three Broomsticks inn.
Speak with Otto Dibble
Otto is standing behind the clothes shop. Talk to him and collect the last piece of evidence on Harlow.
Search for Natty near the Hog's Head Inn
Go back to Natty and if you don't find the girl there, go to the Hog's Head pub. You'll find Natty's wand by the docks. Pick it up, use Revelio and follow the tracks on the ground.
They will lead you to the descent to the cellar under the pub. Go down to the Ashwinders' Hideout.
Search the cellar
Slide out the 2 barrels on the sides using the Accio spell to open a passage in the middle barrel.
Follow the corridor and go down to the lower level of the hideout. There you will fight 6 enemies, the most powerful of them will be at level 30. You can try to get rid of a few enemies first by casting Disillusionment and using stealth attacks.
Optional: Find Agabus Philbert's book of poems
You will find the book of poems in a blue box on the counter, in the same room where you defeated a large group of enemies.
Optional: Find Otto Dibble's love letter
Climb the stairs between the large wooden crates and jump onto the platform. The love letter is in a small chest.
Find Natty
Natty is at the other end of the hideout. Eliminate all enemies along the way and go through the door.
Speak with Isko Rabe
On the table, you will find a chest with a level 1 lock. Open the chest and take Isko's wand. Then talk to the man and wait for him to open all the prison cells.
Find a way out of the Ashwinders' hideout
Go out the same way you came in. You won't meet any enemies along the way. Lastly, talk to Ruth Singer.
