This page of the guide to Borderlands 3 has a walkthrough for The First Vault Hunter, one of the main missions. This is a shorter and less difficult mission in which you the last planet - Nekrotafeyo. The purpose of the visit is to meet with the titular first Vault Hunter, Typhon DeLeon.

Go back on the Sanctuary and head to the laboratory. You will see a short tutorial on how to use the Eridian Analyzer, the item you found in the Vault of the Architects during the previous quest. You can now interact with the Eridian Slabs to translate Eridian Writing. Every time you hear a recording, you get 25 Eridium. Finding the slabs is optional.

Go to the captain's bridge and listen to the conversation. Use the computer navigation system to plan a flight on the newly unlocked planet called Nekrotafeyo. Upon arrival, go to the drop pod in the hold and move the first region of the new planet - Desolation's Edge.

Follow the mission goal marks. You don't have to fight with the local fauna. Also, you don't need to explore the entire map (you can find collectibles and side quests). Along the way, you will encounter densely growing vegetation blocking further passage. Don't use firearms, just approach them and perform a melee attack to get rid of them.

Upon reaching the active force field, use the melee attack on the roots presented in the picture - this will reveal a button. Press it to turn off the force field. This will also activate the nearby vending machines and the Catch-A-Ride station. The journey can be continued after calling the vehicle.

When you get closer to the destination, leave the vehicle and continue on foot. Get close to the rocks presented in the picture - they turn out to be an illusion. You can "go through the rocks" and enter In the Wake of Doubt cave. Follow Grous to the place where Typhon DeLeon is.

After the conversation, start following Typhon. Place the 3 Vault Keys on the marked pedestals. You determine that you are missing one more key. This mission is complete. You unlock a new one - Footsteps of Giants. As a reward for completing the quest, you receive XP, credits and a rare cosmetic item.
