  1. A shovel is an item that you can obtain in many different places. Its acquisition is possible already in act 1.
  2. An unused shovel is located by the road in the northern part of Roadside Cliffs. It is stuck in one of the mounds.

  1. You can purchase a shovel from merchant Arron upon reaching the Druid Grove. It should be very cheap to buy.
  2. Gimblebock should also have a shovel in his inventory - he is one of the raiders from the chapel ruins located above the Overgrown Ruins.

How to use a shovel?

  1. The most important use for a shovel is to interact with dirt mounds. The example shows an image and first, you must complete a passive test (e.g. perception or survival) after approaching a hidden mound. Only then will it be revealed.
  2. Interacting with the mound will lead to digging up a chest with treasure. This is a chance to find a larger amount of gold and rarer items.
  3. After acquiring a shovel, you can also search for graves in order to dig them up and, for example, plunder them or talk to the dead.
