On this page of the guide, you will learn how to start playing with the Ogre Kingdoms - Gold Tooth and Disciples of the Maw.

Skrag the Slaughterer (Disciples of the Maw) - how to start?

Skrag the Slaughterer is the leader of the Disciples of the Maw. The adventure begins far away from the ogre's home mountains. You will start in the southwestern corner of the map, with no countrymen nearby. It is a difficult starting position as you will be surrounded by hostile human countries.

You will initially be at war with the Dwarves, who have 3 settlements north of yours - Total War Warhammer 3: Ogre Kingdoms - how to start? - Ogre Kingdoms - Total War Warhammer 3 Guide

You will initially be at war with the Dwarves, who have 3 settlements north of yours. The path is simple - conquer one settlement after another until you destroy the enemy.

Your next step should be to conquer more settlements in the north - Castle Drachenfels and Grim Duraz. Unfortunately, as is often the case with seemingly abandoned settlements, the Skavens have infested them. You have to defeat them. Easy conquests end here, though, as you will be surrounded by the hostile Empire.

The countries of the Empire are not at war with you, but you are certainly not one of their favorite neighbors. Their lands are your only development opportunity.

If you decide to simply attack a neighboring nation, you can expect to receive several declarations of war after a few turns - Total War Warhammer 3: Ogre Kingdoms - how to start? - Ogre Kingdoms - Total War Warhammer 3 Guide

If you decide to simply attack a neighboring nation, you can expect to receive several declarations of war after a few turns. Therefore, when going into battle, you must prepare yourself and have at least two efficient and full armies.

You can also try to warm up your relationship with some of the neighboring nations by sending gifts and signing pacts. The north and the Empire lands must remain your direction of development, though, but the peaceful approach will at least give you a chance to deal with one enemy at a time, without having to fight on several fronts.

Regardless of how you choose to approach the human lands, you should bear the peninsula behind them in mind. The Norsca tribes live there, who are a very good candidate for trade agreements and diplomatic relations.

The further fate of the factions living there depends on you.

Greasus Goldtooth (Gold Tooth) - how to start?

Greasus Goldtooth is the leader of the Gold Tooth. The game starts in the eastern part of the map, in the mountains between the lands of Grand Cathay and the lowlands controlled by orcs.

At first, you start out at war with the rebellious ogre tribe - Total War Warhammer 3: Ogre Kingdoms - how to start? - Ogre Kingdoms - Total War Warhammer 3 Guide

At first, you start out at war with the rebellious ogre tribe. Their lands are to the north and south of yours. This should be your first goal. It is a good idea to set up a second army quite quickly so that you can simultaneously wage war in both directions - this will allow you to seize the new lands much faster.

There is also a Dwarf faction near your starting point, also ready to take over if no one else does. Additionally, there are two abandoned settlements to the south and east - Fallen City and Karak Krakaten . The Skavens have made the latter their home.

After eliminating these "obvious" enemies, you will most likely find yourself surrounded by ogres - Total War Warhammer 3: Ogre Kingdoms - how to start? - Ogre Kingdoms - Total War Warhammer 3 Guide

After eliminating these "obvious" enemies, you will most likely find yourself surrounded by ogres. You must now choose the next steps. One of them is to make alliances with them and try to achieve a peaceful confederation over time, or simply to settle for joint agreements. Then, you can move south towards the lands occupied by the orcs.

You can also declare war on your countrymen and gradually move towards the Grand Cathaya. The decision is up to you, although we recommend the first one at the beginning.

The further fate of the ogres depends on you.
