This guide for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt offers a complete walkthrough of all main and side quests in the game, as well as an extensive world atlas with maps of all visited locations. The guide presents the main quests, side quests, optional witcher contracts, and treasure hunting quests in great detail.

The Witcher 3: Guide Content

The walkthrough for each of these quests includes information on how to unlock it, a list of all the steps that must be taken and the rewards for completing it. In the case of more advanced tasks, the quest description also includes battles with more difficult monsters and bosses, as well as important choices and consequences of decisions made. Pages with the most important choices and descriptions of all endings have also been added to the walkthrough part of the guide.

The atlas part of this guide focuses on all the important locations you visit while exploring the main locations in the game (White Orchard, Velen, Novigrad, Skellige Islands). The maps of the world atlas include, among others, the main cities and villages , places where you encounter traders and other important NPCs, places where you can find treasures and secrets , signposts or unique areas (bandit camps, monster hideouts, abandoned places, etc.). Both the walkthrough and the world atlas are accompanied by high-quality maps. There are both standard maps and separate interactive maps of White Orchard, Velen & Novigrad and Skellige Islands - they offer interactive legend and markings. The interactive maps can help in locating specific treasures or locations and they also lead to other pages of our game guide. . The atlas has also been enriched with a chapter on witcher gear and acquiring equipment from various schools. It also includes a page with a list of the most valuable witcher trophies, which are awarded for completing subsequent contracts.

A large and important chapter is the game guide, which tells you how to play and how to properly develop the main character. The guide opens with Beginner's Guide, as well as hints and tips for, among others, combat , world exploration , developing Geralt and improving his equipment. An important part of the guide is the chapter on the gwent mini-game, which describes its most important assumptions and tells you what strategies to use to win subsequent rounds.

This guide contains information about romances - it explains step by step how to start an affair with Keira Metz, Yennefer and Triss. There is also a FAQ chapter, which suggests, among others how to earn and spend gold, how to increase the inventory capacity limit, how to get xp easily, how to get to the Skellige islands, and how long does it take to complete the game.

The guide for The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt is supplemented by additional pages, including, first of all, a trophy guide with a description of all the achievements and the platinum trophy. Among others, you'll also find pages on controls , cheating and system requirements.

The Witcher 3: Quick Beginner's guide

Below, you'll find some quick tips and tricks for The Witcher 3. They should help if you are starting your adventure with the game for the first time and you are just learning its mechanics. More tips can be found on the Beginner's Guide page of the game guide.

  1. It is a good idea to prepare for each fight. This is especially important if we have one of the higher difficulty levels. First of all, we should choose the correct sword depending on the type of opponents, and, if possible, review the information about the weaknesses of a given monster in the bestiary. This will allow us to perfectly choose witcher signs, oils or bombs to win the fight.
  2. Quen witcher sign can effectively protect Geralt. Its regular use is especially important when playing on the highest difficulty level, where the hero can easily take critical damage. Protecting yourself with a shield significantly reduces the chances that we will suddenly die or be on the verge of death.
  3. Each quest and region of the world have a recommended level of experience. We shouldn't deal with completing quests with too high the suggested level and fighting monsters on a higher level than Geralt. We always find challenges and quests corresponding to the current level of the witcher, which will allow him to develop.
  4. Geralt has a burden limit. We should avoid exceeding it, as it will limit the mobility of the main character and, at the same time, may hinder effective combat. We can make efforts to raise the limit (e.g. buying saddlebags for a horse) or getting rid of unnecessary loot at traders on an ongoing basis.
  5. Witcher senses help in exploring the area. We can use them not only in quests that require investigating or following tracks, but also during regular exploration of the area. Activating witcher senses is free and you will reduce the risk of missing a valuable loot or an important interactive object.
