To avoid wasting ammunition, kill only the zombie in the bottom part of the screen

You start the game as Rebecca (M1,1). Turn left and walk to the neighboring car (M1,2). A cutscene showing the first encounter with zombies will play. Quickly turn around and take interest in the single zombie that appeared behind Rebecca's back (the one in the lower part of the screen). Try to kill him as quickly as possible. If you don't want to waste ammunition, ignore the other monsters and run to the next car (M1,3).

There is a typing machine in room 201 that can be used for saving the game

Move ahead after you enter the new car and take interest in the two rooms you will bypass. In room 202 (M1,4) you will most of all find the first document - Passenger's Diary. In the neighboring room 201 (M1,5) you will find Investigation Orders document, Ink Ribbon used for saving the game and typing machine where you can save the game (one save uses one ribbon). Since this is the beginning of the game, you don't have to use the item you found yet.

One of the dogs will jump into the car through the window

Leave room 201 and continue exploring the car. After a while you will find a corpse. Examining it will end in you obtaining the Train Key. Watch the cutscene during which you will meet Billy and dying Edward will appear. Once the movie ends, you will be forced to defeat few zombie dogs. You can shoot with no particular plan or (if you intend to save ammunition) you can retreat near the place where you found the key and shoot the dogs whenever they will want to jump on Rebecca. Once the battle is won, examine Edward's corpse and pick up the ammunition he had.

Use the key to unlock access to dining car

Now you must go back to the car in which you started the game. During the trip you can decide to stop in room 201 and save the game. However, have in mind that on your way back you will face new zombies. They will appear even if you previously eliminated all the monsters and depending on their location you can kill them or try walking around them. Once you reach the destination, walk to the previously ignored right door and use the Train Key to open them (throw the item from the inventory once you succeed).

Leech zombie is stronger and faster than regular zombie and he can attack from distance

Now you can enter the Dining Car (M1,6). Watch new cutscene and take interest in the Notice to Supervisors lying on the table. Walk upstairs to the upper floor of the car (M1,7) and take few steps ahead. You will encounter a new monster type for the first time - Leech Zombie. Don't waste ammunition on fighting this monster. Instead, go back to the stairs and wait for another cutscene to start.
