This unofficial guide for Resident Evil 3 Remake can be treated as a complete survival guide helpful in completing the game and discovering all its secrets. The RE3 remake includes many stages and battles similar to those found in the original version from 1999. However, it also offers completely new scenes, locations, and items. As a result, the guide should be useful not only for those who haven't played the original game but also for experienced players who have completed Resident Evil 3 Nemesis.
On the first pages of our guide, you will find a guide to the game, which also serves as a survival guide. We have prepared an extensive chapter called starting tips, in which you will find various tips and tricks useful during the first hours of the game. The main topics regarding the gameplay and survival mechanics are described on separate pages in the FAQ section - you can learn, for example, how to avoid Nemesis, is it possible to beat Nemesis, how to save the game, are there any safe locations in the game, how to increase the inventory capacity, how to find the best weapons, how to heal the character, how long is the game, what to do with unwanted items, or how to improve the equipment. The guide also includes a trophy guide with detailed descriptions of all trophies/achievements, as well as pages about the controls and system requirements of Resident Evil 3 Remake.
Our detailed walkthrough for RE3 Remake is one of the biggest chapters. You will find information about how to complete the mission objectives, how to travel between the main locations, and how to defeat or avoid opponents. Our walkthrough includes maps of the locations and also pays great attention to puzzle solutions and strategies for the boss fights. Another large chapter is dedicated to secrets/collectibles. There you will learn where you can find various secret objects - new weapons, keys, quest items, combinations for safes and cabinets, or weapon upgrades. With our guide, you will find 100% of the secrets.
The last chapter of our guide focuses on Resident Evil Resistance, which is the multiplayer mode of Resident Evil 3 Remake, in which four players try to escape from the Umbrella Corp. labs. The task of the fifth player is to prevent them from completing this plan. We have prepared various hints for playing as the so-called Mastermind, and also as one of the characters defending themselves from zombie attacks.
Resident Evil 3 Remake is based on the very popular survival horror Resident Evil 3 Nemesis, which debuted in 1999 on PlayStation. The remake is not a 1:1 copy of the original game. Some events and mechanics are close, but there is also a lot of new features. The game, of course, is fully adapted to modern standards - the action is observed from the third-person perspective, and the playable characters have a rich set of moves that help you stay alive. The ruthless and powerful Nemesis returns in Resident Evil 3 Remake. The main antagonist plays the same role as he did in the original - Nemesis preys on members of the S.T.A.R.S. team throughout the game. The remake gave him a few completely new moves and items.

Is Resident Evil 3 a long game?
The campaign in Resident Evil 3 should take similar time to complete as the one in Resident Evil 2. This means that the game shouldn't take you a lot to complete. It will take you about 6-8 hours to complete complete the only scenario available. You can spend more time with the game if you focus on careful exploration and look for the colletibles. Resident Evil 3 Remake also encourages players to replay the campaign multiple times - you can play on higher difficulty levels and with additional obstacles to unlock various rewards (trophies, unique weapons, character models, etc.
Why does Jill look different from the original?
This is a deliberate action by the game's developers. This is mainly due to the fact that the original version of Resident Evil 3 Nemesis was released on a much more limited hardware-wise platform. Therefore, it wasn't possible to create a high-quality model of Jill Valentine. It had to be greatly simplified.
Jill's character model in the RE3 remake has been made from scratch. Her face was modeled after Sasha Zotova, although her image served more as a "prototype" - a starting point. The authors then made a number of corrections and changes according to their own artistic vision of Jill's appearance in the game.
It is worth noting that Jill isn't the only character from RE3 whose appearance has changed since the original version of the game. Major appearance changes have also been made in Carlos's model (he is the second playable character) and Nemesis himself - the main antagonist in Resident Evil 3.
Does Carlos have his own scenario?
Carlos is the second playable character in Resident 3 Evil Remake, but he doesn't have a separate campaign. Unlike RE, RE3 doesn't have two different scenarios. At certain points in the story, the game simply switches a playable character. You have to only complete a single campaign.
How do I unlock classic character outfits?
In Resident Evil 3 Remake, you can unlock classic costumes for the main characters, modeled on those found in the original Resident Evil 3 Nemesis from 1999. At the time of writing this guide, the only way to get classic outfits is to pre-order the game. However, it is possible that in the future these costumes will be available to other players for an additional fee.
How many players can play in the online Resistance mode?
In the online mode, called Resident Evil Resistance, can be played by 2 to 5 players. In this mode, 1-4 players represent characters who want to get out of the Umbrella Corporation laboratories. One player becomes the so-called Mastermind and uses the tools available to them to prevent other players from escaping.
We have described Resistance mode in more detail in our guide. There you will find information about its most important characteristics and rules, as well as numerous useful tips.
Is it possible to ultimately defeat Nemesis?
This is not possible during the campaign. There are three default options - you can weaken and stop Nemesis for a few minutes by forcing him to kneel, escape without engaging in a direct confrontation, or be forced to stop his current version in a mandatory boss fight. The only chance to get rid of Nemesis once and for all appears only after reaching the finale.
We have described Nemesis in detail on a separate page of our game guide - you can learn more about the monster's attacks and abilities, as well as the recommended actions during encounters.
Is it possible to stop Nemesis from appearing?
This isn't possible - the controlled character being chased by Nemesis is an integral part of the game. There is a chance that the PC version may have mods that deactivate certain encounters with Nemesis, but this will contradict the authors' intentions regarding the gameplay. Resident Evil 3 isn't intended to be a type of game in which the player don't have to worry about their hero's life.
Does Nemesis appear in save rooms?
No, Nemesis can't enter the Save Rooms - rooms that have typewriters thanks to which players can save their progress. The main antagonist can only appear after you voluntarily leave a save room and resume exploring the game world.
Is Nemesis the only strong monster in the game?
No, during RE3's campaign, you may also encounter other powerful mutant creatures (e.g. Hunter Gamma known from the original version). Some of the monsters appear throughout the entire game, while others are unique to specific locations. We have described all encounters with the strongest opponents in the Bosses chapter.
Does Mr. X return in Resident Evil 3?
No, Mr. X is replaced by Nemesis as a Tyrant (a mutant super soldier) who pursues the characters. However, Nemesis is a much bigger problem than Mr. X. This is primarily due to his versatility - Mr. X could "only" use melee attacks and grapples. Nemesis is also a great threat from a distance.
Another important issue that makes Nemesis a very dangerous opponent is that it can move much faster than Mr. X. Thus, running away from Nemesis can be a more difficult task.
Does Resident Evil 3 Remake have choices and different endings?
Unfortunately, no, the remake doesn't offer important choices that can affect the adventure. Resident Evil 3 Remake has only one ending, regardless of our actions during a playthrough.
How and when can I save the game?
Just like in the remake of the second game, your progress in Resident Evil 3 Remake can be saved when interacting with a typewriter. Typewriters are marked on the maps and are located in the save rooms. The game also makes autosaves at important moments of the game, e.g. after entering a new location.
Are there any collectibles in the game?
Yes, Resident Evil 3 Remake has a lot of secrets/collectibles. This can be, for example, unique weapons, equipment upgrades, documents, figurines, lockers or safes. We described their locations in the Secrets chapter.
Why do I encounter the same zombie models?
This, unfortunately, is the result of reducing the development costs. Resident Evil 2 Remake and Resident Evil 3 Remake were largely created in parallel and use the same RE Engine technology. This means that both of these productions share some elements with each other, and this applies, among other things, to the character models of the selected zombies. Fortunately, many elements in RE3 are brand new - the heroes, for example, visit completely new places and fight new variations of opponents (including Nemesis). Resident Evil 3 Remake also introduces a new online mode called Resistance.
Does Resident Evil 3 Remake have a VR version?
Unfortunately, Resident Evil 3 Remake doesn't have a VR mode, and the developers don't plan to add it after releasing the game. Therefore, it isn't possible to complete the game using virtual reality goggles like PSVR, Oculus, Vive, etc.
Are fixed cameras back in Resident Evil 3 Remake?
No, the gameplay is presented from the third-person perspective. Thus, the camera is placed behind the hero and moves with them. The game doesn't have the "static" cameras that were present in the original version of Resident Evil 3 Nemesis.
The remake of Resident Evil 3 also offers "modern" controls. Heroes have a full range of movements and can also fire while running. An interesting fact is that the remake retains a well-known move that allows you to instantly rotate the character 180 degrees (e.g. to start escaping faster). You can find the full controls in the Controls section.
How to use a flashlight?
The flashlight in RE3 Remake works automatically - it will turn on when you enter a darker location. You also don't have to worry about replenishing your flashlight battery - the controlled character can use it without any restrictions. If you still have trouble moving around darker locations, you can increase the overall brightness level of the game in the options menu (the game also suggests adjusting the brightness when you run it for the first time).
How to turn off the controller speaker?
This is a minor potential issue that only applies to the PlayStation 4 version. By default, the Dualshock 4 controller speaker is enabled and this means that the speaker plays all radio messages received from other characters. This may disturb you, for example, if you are playing at night or using headphones. Fortunately, the controller speaker can be permanently disabled in the options menu - open the Audio tab and find the Controller Speaker setting. You can now hear the messages from the main audio device (TV, audio set, headphones, etc.).
What versions of Resident Evil 3 Remake are available for sale?
Resident Evil 3 Remake is available in two versions:
1) Standard edition - it includes:

Does Resident Evil 3 Remake have Denuvo?
Yes, the PC version of Resident Evil 3 Remake will have Denuvo at launch. There is a good chance that the aforementioned anti-tamper technology will be removed along with one of the updates sometime after the launch.

Resident Evil 3 Video Game
- genre: Action

Remake of the third installment of the best-selling series of survival horrors titled Resident Evil. Resident Evil 3 was developed by Capcom, which is responsible for the development of the cycle.
Resident Evil 3 is a comprehensive remake of the cult survival horror Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, released in 1999 on PlayStation (and in the following years successively made available to owners of other platforms). The development and release of this production is supported by the Japanese company Capcom, which is responsible for the brand.
The action of Resident Evil 3 runs parallel to the events taking place in Resident Evil 2, and therefore several months after the end of the first part of the series. The protagonist is Jill Valentine, a former officer of S.T.A.R.S.'s elite squad. She is in the midst of a zombie apocalypse caused in Raccoon City by a G virus that snuck out of the laboratories of Umbrella's sinister corporation, infecting almost all of its inhabitants. The girl must be on guard, because apart from hordes of living corpses, her members of the military unit Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service, officially sent to rescue civilians, are on their heels. It is also followed by a terrifying mutant called Nemesis, a new version of the Bio Organic Weapon, in the second part of the series represented by the powerful Tyrant. Fortunately, Jill is not doomed to a lonely crossing and can count on the help of Carlos Oliveira's mercenary, who is the second playable character in the title.
Similarly to the remake of the second part of the cycle, in Resident Evil 3 we observe the action from the third person perspective (TPP), from the camera located over the right shoulder of the character. During the game we travel through the city captured by zombies and realize the next mission objectives, along the way collecting valuable supplies and notes that are a source of information about the situation in the city, as well as eliminating the hosts of enemies. In addition, environmental puzzles await a solution.
The authors give us not only white weapons, but also firearms (guns and shotguns are in our hands). As ammunition is a scarce commodity here, it is worthwhile to exercise restraint in the use of the latter - sometimes it is better to simply escape than to dispose of stocks of bullets. This tactic works best when confronted with Nemesis following our footsteps. A mutant repeating the word "Staaaaaars" like a mantra, makes an impression of indestructible. Additionally, he seems to be more intelligent than his predecessor - he can not only appear out of nowhere (most often in the least expected moments), but also use weapons (and his favorite "toy" is a rocket launcher).
For a single player focused campaign Resident Evil 3 is accompanied by a multiplayer production entitled Resident Evil: Resistance. While four players take on the role of survivors trying to escape from Umbrella Corporation's lab, the fifth one, as the Mastermind, has the task at all costs to prevent them from doing so.
As a fully fledged remake, Resident Evil 3 boasts not only refreshed mechanics, but also a completely new graphic design. The authors used photogrammetry technology, thanks to which the visual sphere of this production presents a high level of quality. Attention is drawn to both the very detailed surroundings and the detailed models of the characters and opponents. The soundtrack was also developed from scratch.

Is a few hours of sensational fun worth less than dozens of hours of a mediocre game? We value our money and don't want to spend it on short games – but why don't we respect our time, and continue to spend it on lower-quality entertainment?

I can't believe some people out there, in the depths of Internet. They start a game with ranting about lack of innovation in games, and end it with a game of the most formulaic multiplayers. But when they actually get innovation, they frown.
At the end of 2020 we will welcome the new generation of consoles, PS5 and new Xbox. Therefore, the coming months will be one of the last of PS4. PlayStation will say goodbye to us with big hits.
