Miranda Lawson - preliminary requirements and key aspects of this romance
- For obvious reasons, you can have an affair with Miranda Lawson only if she didn't die in the finale of Mass Effect 2.
- The game does not allow you to start a romance with Miranda from a scratch, so the only solution is to continue the relationship started in the second part of the series (this cannot be changed or made up in any way).
How to establish and develop a romance
You will not meet Miranda automatically during the new campaign, so you have to find her on your own. Some time after completing the main mission on Palaven you should receive a message from Miranda on Shepard's personal terminal, titled Meet me at the Citadel.. At Miranda's request, go to dock D24 and search for her to initiate a conversation with her (screenshot above). During this meeting it is worth confirming that you still have feelings towards her. Find out about the situation in which she found herself and offer her help in solving the problems that plagued her.
The chance to reunite with Miranda will only appear after completing the main task of repelling Cerberus's attack on the Citadel. Read the I found something message but before you go to the Citadel also remember to check Hackett's message - Personal files, which regards Kai Leng whom you have encountered on the Citadel.
Only then go to the Spectre Office in the Embassy district and use the communication terminal to make a long distance call and warn Miranda about Kai Leng. If Miranda is not properly warned, she will die later in the game.
Finale of romance with Miranda
The final level of relationship with Miranda should take place a little later, namely, during one of the next visits to the Presidium's premises. Go to the Presidium Commons and enter room 82 to meet Miranda. During the conversation reassure Miranda that you trust her and don't be aggressive in response to her confessions about her activities in Cerberus. After that you should be given the opportunity to spend some intimate moments in her apartment.
This isn't the end of your adventures with Miranda. You will meet her especially when playing the On the Horizon mission and if you gave her the information about Kai Leng then she should survive.. In addition, you can talk to her after you reach the camp in London, which takes place during the last main mission of the game.
