Can you store more items?

A short answer to the question "Is it possible to increase the inventory in Forever Skies - Forever Skies: Can you increase the inventory? - FAQ - Forever Skies Guide

A short answer to the question "Is it possible to increase the inventory in Forever Skies?" is no. In the early access version, you have no way to increase the inventory capacity. This can be frustrating especially late in the game, as your backpack (another in-game name for it) only has 20 main item slots and 5 extra slots.

As if that wasn't enough, there are things in Forever Skies that take up an entire inventory slot and don't stack, such as batteries or dusty daisy. However, there are other simple ways to store more resources, equipment or food.

Chests and other storage places

The inventory is not the only place to store the resources collected in the game - Forever Skies: Can you increase the inventory? - FAQ - Forever Skies Guide

The inventory is not the only place to store the resources collected in the game. You can have several types of chests in the Airship, which are a good alternative to a backpack if you don't have any other place to store your stuff.

  1. Small storage box - has 9 item slots. You will unlock this blueprint at the Research Station at the very beginning of the game. Later, you can craft it in the Fabricator from metals, synthetics, and plastic waste.
  2. Large storage box - has 25 item slots. You will unlock its research after scanning the box in Underdust. Once you've crafted a blueprint at the Research Station, you'll be able to craft it in the Fabricator using epoxy, metals, and synthetics.
  3. Hanging shelf - has 15 item slots. You will unlock the blueprint while exploring the world, and then craft it in the Fabricator from plastic waste, synthetic materials and metals. The hanging shelf can only be used on the walls of your Airship.
  4. Freezer - has 9 food slots. Thanks to the freezer, the food will spoil much slower. Remember that you cannot store anything but food in it. You will unlock the blueprint after scanning the destroyed freezer in the Command Center (it a type of a Wind Farm). To crate this item using a Fabricator, you will need polymers, helium and a transformer.
