Your objective in the Interview the Wild Pines rep quest in Disco Elysium is to talk to Joyce Messier and ask her what she knows about the murder.
You will find Joyce Messier on a sailboat in the harbor in the west end of the district – next to the Capside Apartments. Talking to the woman will complete this task. However, to obtain valuable information about the murder ( Joyce's info on the lynching quest), you will have to convince Joyce of your credibility by:
- Finding your badge ( Track down your badge quest);
- Perform The Jam Mystery task - this will have a long-term positive effect in other tasks (requires passing a red skill check in the dialogue about the mission).
During the conversation with the woman, you can also “beg” her for a lot of money - 100 Real - by passing the white skill check. However, it is worth doing this after receiving money from Kim to pay off the accommodation by selling his spinners.
