The Smoker on the Balcony

During the conversation with the smoker (The Smoker on the balcony task), you will find out that the person you should talk to is his Sunday friend who is waiting for you in room #28. The prerequisite to start this task is to successfully complete the red Suggestion skill check at the end of the conversation.

What if I fail?

An alternative entrance is located at the coast - the red door. There is an old woman behind them who won't let you in until you convince her - the white Authority skill check.

Meeting a Sunday friend

Enter the room behind the smoker and talk to the man standing by the window.

1. The man was not an eyewitness to the lynching: he was standing on the balcony at that time and saw the man being brought to the courtyard. When that happened, all the windows in the area have been covered. He will admit that he went back into the room. However, he heard threats aimed the victim.
2. There were 8 people in the courtyard: probably all men, but the witness isn't sure, because it was late and he did not see clearly;
3. When the voices fell silent, there was complete silence: no cries of victory, no gun shots;
4. The man did not call the police: he explains this by saying that he was in shock;
5. He saw the body of the hanged man the next day.
