The Lost and Found series of tasks involves tracing multiple clues to find a missing person or important item. On this page of our Dead Island 2 guide, we show how to initiate and successfully complete Missing: Steve quest.
Starting location of the task
You can pick up this quest in Ocean Avenue, more precisely in Hotel Serling at the missing persons' board.
Course of the task
The message says that Steve's last known location is Monarch Studios. This is your first destination.
Once you're in the area, head to studio 3 and follow the quest marker to reach the location of the next clue.
You'll find a bed and on it a note - Steve's To-Do List. Pick it up and read it.
From the note, you'll learn that the next clue will be on the stage that looks like a kitchen. We show the exact location on the screenshot above.
Behind the stage on the steps you will notice a landline. Interact with it to listen to a recording - Live Notes.
You'll receive a new destination which you need to visit - Jimmy's trailer. At the location, watch out for a Slobber and nearby zombies, as well as cocoons on the walls and floor. Cocoons will explode if you get too close to them, dealing serious damage to you. Best way to approach is to destroy them from a distance.
Inside the trailer, open the door on the right to find a zombie named Sergio. Kill him to receive the final clue - Sergio's Phone.
From the information received, you'll learn that Steve has made his way to Beverly Hills. Use fast travel to get to this district instantly.
Follow the marker to reach Steve. It turns out that Steve is alive, and will have a job for you. You need to find 3 candidates and bring them back to Steve:
- strongman,
- a courageous hero,
- the perfect villain.
Look to your minimap for their locations.
Approach each of these locations, provoke the required zombies and lead them back to Steve. After bringing the zombies, defeat them.
The villain is a Butcher, the hero an ordinary zombie wearing a firefighter uniform, and the strongman is a Crusher. The hero is easy, for the Butcher use a submachine gun, and for the Crusher use a blunt weapon and attack him after his jump attack. Killing all of the targets completes the task.
Rewards
Successful completion of the task nets 2.500 XP, and a legendary weapon - Krakatoa.
