Same platform family - PlayStation or Xbox
Dead Island 2 has crossplay within the same ecosystem, i.e. a group of consoles from the same manufacturer. Crossplay is available for:
- PS4 and PS5;
- Xbox One, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X.
Different platform families
Dead Island 2 does not allow crossplay between consoles of different companies. This means that:
- PC gamers can't play with console gamers;
- Xbox gamerscannot play with people who have a PC or PlayStation consoles;
- PlayStation gamers cannot play with people who own the game on PC or Xbox consoles.
