The Lost and Found series of tasks involves tracing multiple clues to find a missing person or important item. On this page of our Dead Island 2 guide we show where to begin and how to successfully complete Missing: Rainier quest.
Starting location of the task
You can pick up this quest in Ocean Avenue, more precisely in Hotel Serling at the missing persons' board.
Course of the task
Your new destination is Randgate 7 (red quest marker will help you get there). As you enter the interior of the building, you'll be attacked by normal zombies and a Slobber.
Defeat the Slobber to receive a note containing Rainier's whereabouts. It is called Candidate Rainier. Travel to the metro station in Hollywood Boulevard.
There are a lot of zombies in the station, you need to kill them all to be sure that the perimeter is safe. When the area is clear, approach the re door and talk to Rainier.
Now go to the area shown in the screenshot. One of the shelves contain a recording - Incident Report. Proceed to the lower floor and find a zombie named Lenny.
Defeat him to receive a key that opens the room Rainier is in. Return to the red door.
Your final task is to kill Rainier, as it turns out he became a Burster. You shouldn't have any problems disposing of him. A tip - get close to him, and then quickly back away to avoid blast damage. Rainier will kill himself then, ending the mission.
Rewards
Upon completion, you'll receive 2.500 XP and a superior melee weapon modification.
