Snow Way Out is the fifteenth level featured in Crash Bandicoot 4. On this page, you will find information about all gems, chests, secret levels. It also contains a detailed walkthrough.
Secret tape
The adventure on this map must begin with an important information. Here you will find a secret tape that will unlock access to a retro level.
Remember, the only way to get the tape is if you haven't died even once. Additionally, you have to complete the map in order for the tape to be added to your inventory.
The tape you can find behind the glacier sequence, by the inferno boxes .
Gems
There are 6 gems on Snow Way Out.
You can get gems for:
- Getting 40% of all Wumpa fruits available on the map;
- Getting 60% of all Wumpa fruits available on the map;
- Getting 80% of all Wumpa fruits available on the map;
- Getting all 153 boxes;
- Completing the entire map while dying less than 3 times;
- Finding the hidden gem.
Number of boxes
There are 153 chests on the Snow Way Out map.
Level description
At the beginning of the map, you get a mask that slows down time. This enables you to easily run on the nearest platforms.
Slowing down time will enable you to pick up boxes, reaching further points, and collect Wumpa fruits.
Going forward, you'll find opponents with crossbows. They shoot fish which can damage you. The enemies also block the passage leading further into the level. The best way to deal with this problem is to stop time when the projectiles are in the air – you will easily run underneath them.
Remember, it's not just the projectile that hurts you. If you hit the string, you'll lose your life, too.
When you see opponents who have a helm around them, don't go near them! Simply hit them from above to proceed. If you try to attack them up front, they'll kill you.
When the opponent destroys your path, you'll have to use a mask. You need to stop time at the right moment so you can jump to the other part of the map.
Once you get past that section, you will come across the familiar inferno boxes. Wait for the moment when the fire stops burning and break the chest.
Moving forward, you'll find opponents with thrown weapons. Approach them when they prepare to throw and attack them.
The next step is not as difficult as it seems at first. You just have to jump on the platforms and follow them to a stable place.
But observe the ice. If it's cracked, it's going to break down, if it's transparent it's very slippery. Only the frosted pieces are safe.
This part also requires good platforming skills. Jump to the top to finish the level.
Hidden gem
As you move through the pieces of ice, you have to drop onto a wooden platform on your right.
Jump on the boxes and jump as high as you can. There's a gem waiting for you there.
Secret level
After running past the opponents with crossbows, you can get to a secret level.
As a side note, that's another spot where you will also find a time-stopping mask. This short level requires dexterity and good reflexes.
