Stefan isn't an invincible character in Black Mirror: Bandersnatch. The protagonist may die as a result of your choices. This page of our guide lists his possible deaths. We've provided a detailed walkthrough leading to each death.
Stefan commits suicide
You can steer Stefan into committing suicide about half way through the main story. He must visit Colin in his apartment and volunteer to jump after taking the drugs. This death is considered a minor ending. You can easily to return to the previous choice and make Colin jump instead so that Stefan can continue his story.

Stefan dies in therapists's chair
This death is a result of completing the longest playthrough the movie has to offer. You must unlock a secret ending about saving Stefan's Mom. She won't die in the train crash (you will alter the events from the past), but you'll learn at the very end that Stefan has died in his chair in Dr. Haynes' office.
