This chapter is a complete guide for Luck of the Hunt errand. Here you can find tips that will help you to finish this quest in the most beneficial way.

Beginning the quest

Start the quest by speaking with Taim that stands in front of one of the huts in Mother's Crown. In this mission you must collect a few boar skins and find the ring that Taim lost during a hunt.

Hunt the boars

Hunting grounds, on which Taim was hunting, are found near Mother's Crown. Follow the marker and you can quickly find the forest that he was speaking about.

Use Focus to detect all of the creatures in the area. As you can see on the picture above, there are a lot of boars but you can also come across Sawtooth's signal. There are a lot of places in the area where you can hide so use Focus on the Sawtooth and scan it to mark its route. Next, sneaking from a bush to bush, eliminate a certain number of wild boars by using your bow.

The Sawtooth can be eliminated by using a few ropes stretched out between trees so you should do it if it will make the mission easier for you. Alternatively, you can kill all boars when hiding because Sawtooth's route is rather long which gives you plenty of time to move freely.

Retrieve the ring

When you kill the boars you must get to the other side of the river to find the ring. You can find it rather fast if you go to the place pointed by the marker by going through the river earlier. Find the boar's corpse shown on the picture above and, by searching it, you can find the lost item. The boar lays near the riverbed so you shouldn't miss it. There are a few Watchers and a herd of Grazers nearby but if you sneak, you shouldn't have to face them.

Finishing the quest

If you did both goals, you can go back to Taim. However, you won't find him in front of the hut but near the campfire right after the north gate. After a short conversation, the quest will be finished.
