This chapter is a complete guide for In Foreign Lands errand. Here you can find tips that will help you to finish this quest in the most beneficial way.

Activating the quest

The mission appears in your journal after you speak with Daytower's commander - Captain Balahn. Your task is to learn what happened with Balahn's lost soldiers. To do that you must go back to Nora's lands and investigate an abandoned village.

Investigate the village

The starting point for this errand is close to the corrupted village which was cleansed by you during one of the main quests. Fast travel to the nearby campfire or go there by using any other means of transport.

Right next to the campfire there is a soldier's corpse. Use Focus to locate them and then search them. It turns out that Balahna's squad retreated from the village. Use Focus near the corpse to find their track. Follow it. Right next to riverbed you find another corpse that you can investigate if you want. However, your main objective is to follow the soldiers.

Find the soldiers

At the end of the track you find a soldier's helmet which must be investigated. Then, use Focus again, find the next track and follow it. At the end of it you will find a lake. Examine the blood on the shore. Swim to the island pointed by the mission marker. There are a few machines near the island so it is worth to use Focus to learn their whereabouts before you go into the water.

There is another trail on the island, also marked by blood stains. Following the tracks you will find Lakhir, speaking to himself. Speak with him. You learn that the warrior don't want to return to his garrison without his bow.

Snapmaw

The bow is inside the machine that you could see nearby. Kill Snapmaw to continue the quest.

You only have to get on the top of the rock and wait until it gets closer to you. Use fire arrows and shoot at any of the points, although it is the best to shoot the tank on its spine. When you do this, the machine will explode a few times. The only danger are its area of effect ice missiles that deals damage over time. If the machine shoots in your direction, wait until the ice covers the area and leave its range.

Finishing the quest

After the fight search the machine to retrieve Lakhir's bow. Giving him the weapon completes the quest.
