This chapter is taking place at Inverloch. As Vulcan you are ordered to torture a child and decide to save it instead. You are preparing a plan:

Convince Caytir to your plans

After leaving Caytir, go to Saint Fergus church (building in the centre of the screen) - Chapter Four - Inverlochs Castle | Walkthrough - Walkthrough - Yesterday Origins Game Guide

After leaving Caytir, go to Saint Fergus church (building in the centre of the screen). Notice the shield of Sir Rodric (on the wall next to the entrance) and take a key hidden in the crown. Open the door on the right by using this key and come inside.

Look at Saint Alick sculpture on the pillar (on the left). Take a crossbow which is lying near the base of the pillar. Then look at Saint Edan sculpture on the right pillar. Take a quiver with bolts which is lying near the base of the pillar.

(If you notice statues of saints on the both sides of the altar and click them in the alphabetical order, you will get The ABC Saints achievements. Talk with Gines about everything. Then take thread, a leather tube, and a bottle of grand radish powder from the shelf (in the middle of the screen).

If you want to know more about the character click Vulcan icon in the inventory.

Observation of Vulcan:

  • medallion on the chest;
  • left (from player's view) shoe (aside);
  • left hand;
  • back;
  • right side of the chest (aside).

Come back to the main hall and click the unconscious victim. Use bottle with grand radish powder on the boy. Talk with him - calm him or threaten him. Then talk with the boy about everything.

Observation of Fergus Quinlan:

  • top of the head;
  • the leather strap on the forehead;
  • left (from player's view) eye;
  • stain on the bottom of his shirt.

As the result of observation, you will get information about resemblance between boy's and Caytir's eyes. That means you need to send a message to her to rescue Fergus.

Go to the workshop. From a wardrobe take a piece of paper (third shelf from the top). Notice also a inkwell (same shelf). Use the piece of paper and information about eyes on the inkwell to write letter to Caytir. Put it into the leather tube (click the tube and then the letter).

To send this message you need to steal Gines' falconry glove (which is hanging near him). To do this you need to distract Gines somehow. From the wooden bucket (on the left from the bracket with mirror) take one of the grey marbles. Notice a bucket on the chain and use the marble on it - information diversion. Take another marble. Use thread on one of the bolts. Click the glove, use the bolt with the thread, crossbow, and information about diversion on the glove to get it. (If you do this by using a maximum of 2 marbles, you will get Marblelous achievement).

Now go to the bellows. Take a brick from the wall (on the right from turning wheel). Take the gold ring hidden behind it. Click this place once again to hide it by brick.

Go upstairs and leave church. Being outside notice falcon who is sitting on the top of the wall (right bottom corner of the screen). Click the falcon and use the message and glove. Go to church and talk with Caytir. Use all options, give her the ring. Caytir will give you her red cape.

Organize Fergus' escape

Come back to the dungeon, go to the workshop and from the wardrobe take a bottle with powerful sleeping powder (bottom shelf). In the bucket on the right side of the bracket is a saw, take it.

Now go to the church where Ursus is guarding the entrance.

Observation of Ursus:

  • mask on the right (from player's view) side of the face;
  • sign Y on the red background (chest);
  • metal glove on the right hand;
  • rosary's cross;
  • blood on the floor.

After making the last observation, you will get information about blood. Talk with Ursus - when you talk about self torture, you will get the boot . Leave the church.

Being outside notice a peasant (on the right) with his cart.

Observation of the cart driver:

  • nose;
  • peasant coat (chest).

Talk with the man, he will tell you that the barrels are empty. Examine the cart. On the back there are leather strips. On the left there is a rag. Click it and use the sleeping powder on it. Take leather strips. Click empty barrel - information escape.

Come back to church's dungeons. Use the saw on both boots. Click the boy and then use strips.

Click Fergus, use Caytir's cape, strips, disassembled boots on him, and information about escape on him.

During the dialogue with Gines' choose any options you want.

(For saving Fergus you will get The Boy Who Lived achievement. If you interacted with all hotspots and items - including observations and items in the inventory - you will get Master of the Castle achievement).

Talk about everything with Gabriel Scarpetta and then with Pauline's conversation with Victoria Baxter do the same.

(For meeting with the last member of Vatican order, you will get New York, New York achievement).
