The Operator | Warframe Warframe Guide & Walkthrough

Last update: 24 May 2018

This chapter will familiarize you with the Operator in Warframe - The Operator | Warframe - The Operator - Warframe Game Guide

This chapter will familiarize you with the Operator in Warframe. You will learn how to activate it, what it can do and what it carries. If you want to be good at Warframe, you should know how to use the Operator.

Operator

The Operator is a person that can manipulate Warframe using Void - the source of their energy. One of the advantages of unlocking the Operator is that it grants you access to schools of Focus. The Operator also has its unique abilities. After The Second Dream, you will be able to "leave" Warframe. Yet, there are limitations to that. At the beginning of each mission, you will be able to do that, only after 180 seconds have elapsed (by default: 5 key) - after it is activated, the Operator will appear as an apparition, for 10 seconds and will be able to emit Void pulses - during that, you will be invulnerable.

After The War Within, you will be able to leave Warframe physically and your abilities will be limitless. After you leave, your Warframe will be invulnerable. It is important to leave Warframe as the Operator - a vast majority of Focus abilities require you to perform specific actions as the Operator. For example: if you have picked Zenurik school for energy regeneration, you can use Energizing Dash - to activate the ability, you have to leave as the Operator, perform Bullet Jump (Void Dash - by default: CTRL + Space). Also, leaving as the Operator is important while fighting Kuva (the obese opponents with pikes - Kuva Guardian or "walking trashbags" - Kuva Jester) - unless you use Void power of your the Operator, they are invincible (to deal damage to them, it is best to use Bullet Jump against them, or use the melee attack button).

The base health value of the Operator is 100. When it drops to null during combat, the game will have the Operator return to Warframe. Additionally, you will suffer a debuff that reduces your shield and it deals damage of 10% of your current health. This debuff lasts for 45 seconds.

Also, the Operator has the base value of 100 of energy (it regenerates quite quickly, over about 6 seconds). Pools of Warframe and the Operator energy are separate.

Note: Thanks to the Operator, after you enter stealth, you can pass by sensors and lasers. The Operator's melee attack is strong enough to stagger enemies with shields. Also, you can ignore lethal damage to your Warframe - by leaving as the Operator - remember that your Warframe is invulnerable after you leave. In stealth mode, you are completely invulnerable to any damage, Auras and Status effects - seize that to your advantage while capturing your targets, hacking and standing up your companions.

Amp

Amp is a special modular weapon for Tenno Operators - The Operator | Warframe - The Operator - Warframe Game Guide

Amp is a special modular weapon for Tenno Operators. You can upgrade it, or even build a new one at Quills'. This weapon is a sort of gauntlet that allows you to control the Operator's energy. You can obtain Amp only after you have completed Saya's Vigil and The War Within. Amp consists of three elements: Prism - which alters properties of your fire as the Operator, Scaffold - which provides you with an additional type of fire (by default: middle mouse button), and Braces - which boost statistics.
