This page is a full trophy/achievement guide for The Hong Kong Massacre. Here, you can find detailed descriptions of all available trophies along with our commentary. Trophies (including the platinum trophy) are available on PS4 while achievements can be unlocked on PC.
We recommend doing A Walk in the Park trophy as soon as you can - its description can be found on a separate page. The longer you wait with completing it, the more problems you will have.

Trophy type: platinum
How to unlock: Get all the trophies.
Commentary: This trophy can only be unlocked in the PS4 version.
First come, first served
Trophy type: bronze
How to unlock: Kill your first enemy.
Commentary: You can't miss this trophy. Kill any enemy after you start the first mission.
The journey begins
Trophy type: bronze
How to unlock: Complete the first stage.
Commentary: You can't miss this trophy. Complete the first level - Got Myself a Gun. You don't have to complete the level within a specific time limit or by doing challenges.
The boss has been fired
Trophy type: bronze
How to unlock: Kill the first boss.
Commentary: You can't miss this trophy. This boss fight happens after you complete all standard levels of the first chapter (Four Days Earlier). This boss is called Waise Chow.
For more information on the bosses, check out Bosses chapter. The main hero and the boss move in separate corridors. Shoot the boss when he is in an open space or near one of the windows. We recommend using a rifle. You can also get pistols by eliminating regular enemies.

Trophy type: bronze
How to unlock: Unlock the first weapon.
Commentary: You can buy new weapons by spending stars earned from completing challenges and missions. You purchase a weapon before you start a mission. We recommend spending 1 star on a rifle.
Knock knock whos there?
Trophy type: bronze
How to unlock: Destroy 25 doors.
Commentary: You can destroy doors with any firearm. Every level has a few doors - you shouldn't have problems with getting this trophy/achievement.
Bringing out the dead
Trophy type: silver
How to unlock: Kill 100 enemies.
Commentary: You can't miss this trophy. You will kill a lot more people during the campaign.
Death does not become me
Trophy type: silver
How to unlock: Die 250 times.
Commentary: It is highly probable that you will die more than 250 times. Don't focus on this trophy/achievement, you will get it after one of your deaths.

How to unlock: Second day completed.
Commentary: You can't miss this trophy. You get it after you complete all missions of the second chapter (Three Days Earlier). You don't have to complete the levels within a specific time limit or by doing challenges.
It is a massacre
Trophy type: silver
How to unlock: Kill 100 enemies.
Commentary: This trophy is hard to miss - the game counts even those kills that happened when you were replaying a mission (e.g. when your character dies and you have to restart a mission).
Suspended in time
Trophy type: gold
How to unlock: One hour in slowmotion.
Commentary: The game keeps track of all your uses of the bullet time mode. Use it as much as possible - there is a chance that you will get it during your first playthrough.
Recycle!
Trophy type: silver
How to unlock: Picked up 50 weapons.
Commentary: Every defeated enemy drops a weapon. Simply keep picking them up - there is chance that you will unlock this trophy/achievement during your first playthrough.
A walk in the park
Trophy type: silver
How to unlock: Completed a level on first try.
Commentary: This trophy has been described on a separate page.
No need to slowdown
Trophy type: gold
How to unlock: Completed a level without slowmotion.
Commentary: The first level, Got Myself a Gun, is the best for that. That level is the easiest one because you have to kill only 5 enemies. You can make things even easier for you by unlocking, e.g. a rifle. More tips can be found in Completing challenges chapter - completing missions without using the bullet time is one of the groups of in-game challenges.
Hard boiled
Trophy type: gold
How to unlock: Complete first day without dying.
Commentary: This is one of the most difficult trophies to acquire, especially because you can simply lose the chance to unlock it if you do not try hard enough.
"First day" is the first chapter of the game (Four Days Earlier). You need to be very careful during all of the levels. The best way to complete them in this way is to use a rifle and the bullet time combined with jumps/rolls/dodges. You will reduce the risk of getting shot. If you die even once in any of the stages, the chance to acquire the trophy will be lost.

Everyone is sleeping
Trophy type: gold
How to unlock: Kill 10,000 enemies.
Commentary: This will probably be your last trophy/achievement. Remember, the game counts even those kills that happened when you were replaying a level due to your character's death.
Just another day
Trophy type: gold
How to unlock: Complete the first and second day without dying.
Commentary: This is one of the most difficult trophies/achievements in the game. "First" day is the first chapter (Four Days Earlier), "second" day is the second chapter (Three Days Earlier). You need to be very careful during all of the levels. The best way to complete them in this way is to use a rifle and the bullet time combined with jumps/rolls/dodges. You will reduce the risk of getting shot.
A master at my skill
Trophy type: gold
How to unlock: All challenges completed.
Commentary: One of the most difficult trophies/achievements in the game. Every level has 3 challenges:
- Time - You need to complete the level within the time limit.
- No Slowmotion - You need to complete the level without using slowmotion.
- Perfect Aim - You need to complete the level by only hitting enemies.
The fact that you don't have to complete all challenges in one go is a big advantage. You can do them one by one. Check out Completing challenges chapter to learn more about the main groups of challenges.
Done and done!
Trophy type: gold
How to unlock: All weapons and upgrades unlocked.
Commentary: Weapons and upgrades are purchased with stars you receive by beating levels and completing challenges. A rifle costs 1 star, a shotgun and an SMG costs 2 stars each. Every weapon has four upgrades that cost between 2 and 10 stars. Purchase them as soon as you get the required number of stars. To get everything, you will need 105 stars.
End of the Week
Trophy type: gold
How to unlock: Beat the game.
Commentary: You can't miss this trophy. Complete the final, fifth chapter of the campaign (Today), defeating Anthony Tsang. Complete the final chapter. You don't have to worry about a time limit or challenges.
