Sniper Elite 5 - Mission 3
Sniper Elite 5 - Mission 3
The marshlands are the default mission starting area. You can also move a little to the north to reach a great vantage point. It allows to use the sniper rifle to eliminate many enemies from large distances without alarming the area, including the snipers from the buildings surrounding the abbey.
The bridge leads towards the main part of the island. You don't have to use the bridge, because you can pick the beach to the left or to the right of it instead.
It leads towards the eastern part of the town. Crossing the minefield safely is very dangerous so it's best to pick a different path.
You can get here after using the bridge or the beach (orange 2 on the map). There's a clue nearby about Richter's package. Continue your journey from here. You can head weast towards parked cars (orange 5 on the map). Alternatively you can head north towards the checkpoint (orange 6 on the map) or the path behind the church (orange 8 on the map).
There are several parked cars here and the limousine will be driven to the upper courtyard later in the mission. You'll find a great opportunity to overhear a conversation between the soldiers (remain hidden!) to find about the meeting in the abbey and advance in the mission. You can also unlock an alternative mission starting area here (gate near the water).
It's on the road leading to the hill with the main abbey building. Aside from the guards you also need to watch out for vehicles driving the main road. You can find a clue about Richter's package next to the checkpoint and learn about the meeting (main mission objective). There's also an alternative way path to the hill and it's located behind the church (orange 8 on the map).
A large group of snipers have set up in this area and you can easily become a target for them. There's an alternative mission start area here you can unlock.
You can easily get inside through a window. Check the top of the tower to find a sniper and Bruhl with the letter about the meeting location. There's an alternative path to the abbey at the back of the church. It's safer than choosing the road by the checkpoint (orange 6 on the map).
He's the Kill List target. Richter will be on the move, but he'll eventually end up in the room at the top of the abbey to take part in the officers meeting. You can complete the challenge by performing a stealth takedown on him.
This is the most important building on the map. You can get inside by picking one of the main entrances or, for example, by getting there from the armory (orange 11 on the map). You need to get to the top of the tower to eavesdrop on the officers conversation, to kill Fabian Richter and to collect the documents on Kraken.
It's in front of the main entrance to the abbey and there's a large group of enemies here. You can avoid them using the walls surrounding the courtyard. You'll also find a passageway here leading to the northern part of the map (smaller islands).
You can kill a nearby officer and take his key or blow up the armory door. Aside from the loot you'll also find a passageway here allowing to infiltrate the main building of the abbey (orange 9 on the map) much easier.
There are a lot of enemies on the main floor of the academy and they're being trained to be spies. Lower levels are more important, because you can find the instructor there and eliminating him is tied to the side mission objective.
A boat is used to escape the island and it's located at the northern edge of the map. You must watch out for multiple snipers stationed in the area - use the binoculars to find them and eliminate them with long distance shots.
The collectible is in the trashbin next to the bench and several parked cars.
The collectible is on a large chest next to the road leading to the southern bridge.
The letter is in the possession of a soldier wearing a hat - he's standing close to parked cars. You must eliminate him and search his body. If you miss the corpse restart the mission near this place.
The collectible is in the north-eastern observation tower.
The letter is in officer Bruhl's inventory and he's talking to the sniper at the top of the church tower. Eliminate him and search his body.
The collectible is inside the building next to the enemy checkpoint.
The document is inside the building in the south-eastern part of the town.
The collectible in inside the Spy Master's office. Reach its highest level and pick up the document from the table (it's next to the cellar key).
The collectible is at the top of the church tower. It's on the desk next to the talking enemies.
The document is inside the building in the south-eastern part of the town.
The playing cards are on the table inside the bar located next to parked cars.
The collectible is in the safe inside Spy Master's office. Reach its highest level and open the safe using the obtained intel or by blowing it up with a satchel charge.
The collectible is on the table on the lower level of the Spy Academy building (use the stairs to reach the lower floor).
The eagle is on the roof of the building and you can fire from the southern vantage point (orange 1 on the map).
The eagle is mounted on the tower next to the abbey's courtyard. You can shoot at it from the road leading to the courtyard.
The eagle is at the top of the ruins on one of the small island. Perform a long distance shot.
The workbench is is in the room by the Spy Academy. You can reach it by completing a climb using the vines in the northern area.
The workbench table is inside one of the building in the south-eastern part of the town.

Mission 3 – general information

The Beaumont-Saint-Denis Monastery on the island is the most important place in the third mission of Sniper Elite 5 - Sniper Elite 5: Mission 3 (Spy Academy) map and description of the location - Mission 3 - Spy Academy - Sniper Elite 5 Guide, Walkthrough

The Beaumont-Saint-Denis Monastery on the island is the most important place in the third mission of Sniper Elite 5. In addition to the multi-level main building of the monastery, you will also have the opportunity to explore the surrounding roads and buildings. This map may look like a maze because it is multi-level, and there are a lot of more and less obvious passages to find. We advise you to explore the map thoroughly to discover as many optimal paths and tracks as possible.

You will start the mission at the southern end of the map, and your first task will be to cross the beach to the monastery. In its initial phase, you will be able to effectively eliminate some enemies from long distances. The situation will change drastically after reaching the residential areas, where you will mainly eliminate the enemies at short and medium distances.

Enemy snipers are a serious complication in this mission. Due to the very dense buildings, locating them can be quite a challenge, and they have a good field of view. First of all, you have to carefully check the area with your binoculars and react quickly to rays of light reflecting off the sniper rifle scope, which warns you.

When completing the mission for the first time, the starting point is predetermined. However, you can unlock two more and thus have 3 possible starting points. The western one (Smugglers Landing) may be of particular appeal, as you will be close to the road leading to the hill on which the monastery is located.

Mission 3 has various main and side quests. We discussed them on the following pages:

  1. Finding the meeting location - You have to reach the main part of the island first and then find out about the planned meeting in the monastery. It is possible thanks to collecting documents or eavesdropping a conversation.
  2. Eavesdropping on the meeting and obtaining data on Kraken - Karl has to get to one of the higher levels of the monastery to eavesdrop on the enemy officers and get the files of Operation Kraken.
  3. Side quest - In mission 3, you only can complete 1 side quest in which you have to get rid of the officer responsible for training new spies.
  4. Fabian Richter - He is one of the targets on the list, and by default, he takes part in the meeting of the main mission objective. Our walkthrough describes how takedown Richter by surprise.
  5. Evacuation - Reaching the boat at the northern end of the map is the last step and not an easy one. Our walkthrough offers an optimal escape route and tips on how to avoid the snipers.

Mission 3 allows you to obtain 19 secrets and collectibles. These are 3 workbenches, and various types of notes or memorial items. We have marked their locations on the map.
