Missions
First, let's determine that the mind palace includes primarily the storyline missions. There are no clues about small cases, such as police ones.
In the mind palace, you will always see the main mission "A Mother's Love" and the current investigation.
Tips
The mind palace features clues that you find and information that you discover. These are all the gathered elements, heard conversations, and facts about the suspects. Sherlock will make note in his mind of whatever is important to the case.
Combining the elements
You will see all elements gathered by Sherlock after entering the mind palace. You can connect it into pairs. First select one item (it will show up on a gray background), and then another that matches it.
However, if they do not match, the clue will be highlighted in red. There's no penalty for mismatching the clues, so if you don't have any idea, you can shoot or go to our walkthrough, where you'll find all the right deduction connections.
Over time, you will see some choices that will lead to further deduction. You can change them at any time to explore other possibilities.
