On this page of the Sherlock Holmes Chapter One game guide, you will find a walkthrough of a story case called Sacrificial Lamb. We've described the quest taking place in the mansion. There you'll talk to guests, meet your old acquaintance and examine the another murder victim. For completing the quest, you will get an achievement called "Rumor Has It...".

Starting the mission

The mission will begin at home after you examine Cabinet of Curiosities. Your task is to dress the outfit you received as a gift and go to the mansion for a rather intriguing party.

The mantion is located in the northern part of Grand Saray. You'll have no trouble getting in through the main entrance. There are no other doors that will allow you to enter the building.

Inside, immediately go to the room with the violet light. Verner Vogel is waiting for you there, and he'll give you a key to a special room. You can lead the conversation whatever you want, there is no wrong choice here.

Achievement - Rumour Has It...

When you talk to Verner, you will receive a new challenge from Jon. He wants you to eavesdrop on several people in the manison.

The first pair to eavesdrop you will find in the room with curtains with a red light shining from there.

The correct options are:

1. Cheating groom,
2. Offended duchess,
3. Fired after incident,
4. Political crisis.

The next duo to be questioned are the security guards standing at the great white staircaise.

The correct options are:

1. Mysterious disappearance,
2. Occultist architect,
3. Magic circle.

Victim

It's time to use the key and go behind the white door. You will enter a huge room, where you immediately spot a corpse of a man.

Get close to the body and examine it thoroughly. Should be inspect:

1. a dagger,
2. a chest wound,
3. head trauma,
4. a tattoo,
5. a sigil,
6. hands.

Evidence and clues

Right next to the body is a stone shelf, on which lie three objects used for ritual. After checking them, also look at the signs on the walls.

After examining the crime scene, proceed to the next room. This is an elegant smoking lounge, where you will find a small table full of evidence. In this place, inspect:

1. cigars,
2. a whip,
3. a bottle of alcohol,
4. a stain.

Then switch the task in the casebook so Sherlock can see the traces that are not visible at first glance. Follow the blood trail to the victim's body.

Further evidence you will find in the dressing room (it is behind the next door). First, use the Concentration Mode and examine the hanger with no robe hanging on it.

Then examine the first desk, the one with a mirror. You will find:

1. a book,
2. a letter,
3. a tool stand.

You will see the sink and the water jug by the exit. Look at both the tray with the jug and the drain, where you can see traces of blood.

It's time to get back to the other desk. On it, you will find:

1. a gift,
2. a key,
3. masks.

The last thing you need to check here is the closet by the door. There are clothes with bloody stains hidden there.

There's one more thing you need to do before the reconstruction - talking to Vogel.

Reconstructions

Once you've collected all the evidence in the mansion, you can proceed with the reconstruction. Start at the door. There, an unknown individual tampers with the lock in the door.

The next scene will be in front of the victim. An unknown person stabs a knife into the man's chest.

Then move to the smoking lounge. Next to the sofa, you will see the following scene: an unknown person pulls Fabio by the hand.

By the chair, there should be Fabio on the floor and an unknown person pulling him towards the altar.

After arranging the scenes, it's time to move on to the next room. There, an unknown individual washes his hands at the sink and then changes clothes in the closet.

Vogel

After the reconstruction, it's time to talk to the man who invited you. The only thing you can talk to him about is the key.

Host

Finally, go to the main lobby and talk to the party host standing by the fountain. In the middle of your conversation, the police will show up, and you won't be able to do anything. Further events are going to take place at the Police Station.
