The following description contains huge spoilers about the events of the games finale. We advise you to hold off on reading if you want to play the finale on your own without finding out how the game ends.
Resident Evil Village has only one ending. No storyline choices await you during the game. There is also no alternate or secret ending to unlock. You cannot change the fate of the main characters, although it is not excluded that the game will get some story expansions that will complement the main plot or develop threads from the basic campaign.
In the campaign's finale, Chris finds the Megamycete in the caves beneath the village, a large living creature responsible for animating, mutating and empowering enemy characters encountered throughout the game. Chris places an explosive charge on Megamycete.
Ethan, in turn, manages to win a duel with Miranda (the final boss) and find Rose.
Ethan hands over the rescued Rose to Chris and then sacrifices his life to bring about the destruction of Magamycete and the entire village.
The ending also includes an additional scene involving a now teenage Rose visiting her father's grave. It is very possible that Rose will appear in one of the future installments of Resident Evil as a playable character, or one that is crucial to the plot important.
