You start Red Dead Online with creating your own character. The process starts with basics - choose your character's gender. Unlike Red Dead Redemption 2, RDO allows you to play as a female - you can, i.e. make your character look like Sadie.

Then, you have to name your character and choose their appearance. You can choose your skin color, age, body build and change the shape of your face. The next step is to select the shape of your nose, mouth, jaw, and ears. The character creation system is rather complex - you can choose from numerous options.

Next, select your teeth (people from that period of time didn't have a perfect smile), hairstyle and facial hair. This step also offers numerous options.

Select your complexion, birthmarks, and scars. After that, you have to choose your whistle's sound (you will use it to, i.e. call your horse).

The last step is to select your initial stats. You can assign points to Health, Stamina, and Dead Eye. Your choices made here aren't that important. However, I recommend focusing mainly on Health and Stamina.

Confirm your choice. Remember, your overall appearance is permanent! The only appearance elements you can choose during the game are your hairstyle, facial hair, and clothes.
