From time to time in Metro Exodus, you will come across locked doors. Some of them can be opened - not with a lockpick, but with a much more aggressive method. Through this guide page, you will learn how to open some closed doors in the game and gain access to hidden items.

From a certain point in the story in Volga, you will start to come across doors that are sometimes locked with a padlock. You can select a weapon and shoot down a padlock to unlock the passage further. This will give you access to some of the hidden items or collectibles.

Occasionally, you will also come across a door that has been locked with a key. This type of door cannot be opened without a key, which is often a reward for visiting optional locations in the region.
