This page in our guide to Layers of Fear 2 focuses on the visit to the recording room - this is part of act 2. You have to make the second important choice - it will affect the final ending.
Before you reach the recording room, you will go through a few linear areas. In one of them, you will find a scale with a dead rat. Pick the carcass up and take it to the scale presented in the picture. Place the rat on the left weight.
You can now reach the door to the recording room - you can recognize it by Recording written on it.
Listen to the director's monologue. After that, two behavior options will appear on the screen:
- Follow the instinct - Choose the upper option (Take It). You have to confirm this choice a few times. The button combinations can change during this process. Lastly, hold the right button. This choice is favored by the director.
- Give up - choose the bottom option (Give up). You have to confirm this choice a few times. The button combinations can change during this process. This behavior is contrary to the expectations of the director.
Each of these choices unlock a Show Restraint and Trust Your Instincts trophy/achievements. If you want to get them both during the same playthrough, don't leave the room after you made your first choice. Go back to the main menu and load the previous checkpoint. You will go back to the part where you have to make a choice. Choose the other option.
