Green Hell has received a four-person co-op mode. On this page of the guide, you will learn how to join a multiplayer game.
Joining someone in co-op is very simple. Find the "multiplayer game" tab in the main menu. When you open it, you will have the option to choose between joining an existing game or creating a new one. You also have to remember that this mode doesn't have the story campaign.
If you decide to create a game, you will immediately jump to the configuration panel. There are three game modes available in Green Hell:
- Public - visible to every user
- Friends only - visible only to friends on Steam
- Invited only - in this case, you can choose people who can join the game
Then you must also select the difficulty level. You can select every difficulty except the hardest one - Green Hell - which has the permadeath mechanic. You can also optionally customize the gameplay conditions.
Green Hell and Steam Remote Play Together
Creepy Jar's production doesn't support Remote Play Together. This means that everyone must own their own copy of the game.
However, when you want to join an existing game, you will be moved to the selection panel with a list of the available hosts. To enter a given game, you have to choose one of them.
You also have to remember that the creator of a given game can choose who is on the server. This means you can be expelled from the game. Also, if you created the game yourself, you can remove other people from it.
