The attributes in FM 2022 represent the player's skills, making it easier to assign them correct roles in the field. You can check each player's basic attributes in their profiles.

Basic attributes

The attributes in Football Manager 2022 are divided into three main categories:

  1. Technical / Goalkeeping: this group includes taking shots at the goal from short and long distance, finishing plays, passing, receiving passes, slide tackles, free kicks, communicating with the team, saves, and in case of goalkeepers: catching and throwing the ball;
  2. Mental: this group includes aggression, courage, composure, concentration, positioning, teamwork etc;
  3. Physical: this group includes balance, acceleration, dexterity, speed and endurance.

Each attribute is scored with points, from 1 (awful) to 20 (excellent).

Hidden attributes

Aside from basic visible attributes, Football Manager 2022 also features hidden attributes that aren't displayed in a player's profile, which means their score is unknown. Scouts, however, know about hidden attributes and can refer to them in their reports.

  1. Adaptability: this attribute indicates how well the player can adapt to living in a different country;
  2. Consistency: indicates how the player approaches a match and whether are they playing to their full potential;
  3. Dirtiness: indicates the probability of breaking the rules, playing dirty;
  4. Important Matches: this attribute indicates how the player handles high-stakes matches (cup ties, derbys, etc.);
  5. Versatility: indicates how well the player does in a position they don't know well;
  6. Injury Proneness: indicates the probability of the player becoming injured during a match or when training.
