Elex: Which abilities are the best in the beginning of the game? Elex Guide

Even on the lowest difficulty level, Elex is a quite challenging game, and the initial stages might prove problematic. In order to better cope with the dangerous world of Magalan, you should invest both experience points and money into several abilities, which are helpful no matter how you proceed with developing your character.

In the beginning of the game, it is worth to invest in several universal abilities.

1. Extra Hitpoints – this ability grants you additional health points with each new experience level. More health points are useful, thus you should invest in this ability at the beginning of the game.
2. Lock Picking – it allows you to open locks with picklocks. Each level of this ability enables you to open more difficult locks. It is also worth to mention about the Adventurer’s Amulet, which can be obtained at the beginning of the game – it grants +1 to Lock Picking.
3. Armor – each consecutive level of this ability improves the armor. It works similarly to Extra Hitpoints - it allows you to take more hits (provided you wear an armor).
4. Stamina – increases your stamina, which is used for melee attacks. It is a very useful ability, as you are bound to use melee weapons a lot.
