Interrogation | Connor | Detroit Become Human Walkthrough Detroit Become Human guide, walkthrough

Last update: 02 July 2019

Interrogation - this scene only takes place if you have found a defect in the attic in the Partners chapter. Otherwise, the scene Waiting for Hank... will be played out right away. During the interrogation, you must keep the defect's stress level at around 55-75%. You will see the change after each chosen dialog option. Intimidate him to increase stress, but don't let it reach 100%, because then the android will become unpredictable, leading to bad endings...

Before you sit on the chair, examine the files on the table. Now start by analyzing the android before you start asking questions. At the beginning, it is best to start by scaring it and telling the truth. It is easier to minimize stress later than to push it to the required level.

How to lead an efficient interrogation?

There are three ways to get the testimony from a defect, but you can also let up to speed things up.

First questions and dialogue options will have only minor effect on defect's stress - as mentioned above, intimidate it and use aggressive approach to increase its stress. After a few dialogues you will go to the main part - choosing your approach:

  1. Pressure it - fastest and surest method. After each Connor's dialogue the defect's stress rises significantly, but you can let up any time.
  2. Convince it - increases stress slower then intimidation. If at this point the defect's stress level is below 40%, choose intimidation.
  3. Probe its memory - in contrast to the previous two methods, this one leads exclusively to bad endings.

A positive result (the android confesses its guilt) can be achieved only in the first two options, when the stress is at an appropriate level when the interrogation ends.

In the next scene Chris enters the room. Whatever method you've chosen, the android always attempt to self-destruct, and Connor's intervention ends in his death. However, it is possible to achieve a positive conclusion in which the defect does not die. To achieve this, you must choose either "convincing" or "pressuring" during the interrogation, force the android to confess guilt, and ask him as much detail as possible about the investigation during the introductory interview. If the android trusts you, it will calm down when you try to intervene.

Possible endings

The best ending is when you get the android to confess guilt and save its life. - Interrogation | Connor | Detroit Become Human Walkthrough - Connor Walkthrough - Detroit Become Human Guide
The best ending is when you get the android to confess guilt and save its life.

There are four endings available. The scene isn't short - if you wish to get more options when choosing the ending to Connor's plotline, you may want to replay this chapter to get the good ending.

  1. The android is intact - this event will occur when you fall within the indicated range of defect's stress at the end of an attempt to convince or pressure it. When Chris enters the room, intervene - if the defect trusts you, it will give in. You will meet the android later on at the police station in Waiting for Hank..., where it will self-destruct when talking to him. Reputation with Hank. Note - to get a positive conclusion, you do not need to get a guilt confession of the defect.
  2. The android shot itself - if you don't fall within the optimal stress range of the defect at the end of the interrogation and don't intervene after Chris enters the room.
  3. Both the android and Connor are dead - this option will come into effect if Connor intervenes after Chris enters the room. The only exception is when the android trusts you and gives in. It also occurs whenever you've used probing during the interrogation.
  4. The android has destroyed its head - when using probing during the interrogation, and not intervening when Chris enters the room, the android will smash its head on the table.
