Last update: 28 September 2023

One of the more complex missions from Phantom Liberty expansion to Cyberpunk 2077 is You Know My Name, during which the heroes attempt to infiltrate Kurt Hansen's party in the Black Sapphire skyscraper. Our walkthrough for this mission shows how to equip the Tactical Diving Suit and complete an underwater section, how to eliminate the sniper, how to defend Reed using a sniper rifle, how to infiltrate the party, where to find Songbird, how to acquire chips and how to lead the conversation at the roulette table with Aurore and Aymeric.

Entering the sunken tunnels and equipping Tactical Diving Suit

  1. After the conclusion of Get It Together, you'll seamlessly proceed to the quest involving the infiltration of Black Sapphire building. Reach the entrance to the tunnels as marked on your map. You'll encounter a locked door that has to be forcefully unlocked (only 3 Body required).
  2. Reach the place where you can enter the water. You now need to equip the Tactical Diving Suit you received at the hideout in the previous quest. Open the inventory window, move to the outfits tab, and choose the Suit from the list (screenshot).

Crossing the tunnels

  1. During your dive, you don't have to worry about oxygen, but watch out for underwater mines - an exemplary one is shown in the screenshot.
  2. Proceed carefully so you don't miss any of the mines. Encountered mines can be disarmed and only 3 Technical Ability is required for this action.
3 - Cyberpunk Phantom Liberty: You Know My Name - walkthrough - Main quests - Cyberpunk 2077 Guide
  1. Along the way, you'll have to manually open several passages and move obstacles out of the way. Finally, you'll arrive at a reservoir that seems to be without an exit. Instead, swim underneath the bars and reach a corner where a drop-down ladder is found.
  2. Reach the first switch. Pressing it will lower the platform and allow you to reach the second switch. Eventually you'll reach a shaft with ladders - follow the path laid by them to continue the climb.

Connecting to surveillance feed and locating Reed

4 - Cyberpunk Phantom Liberty: You Know My Name - walkthrough - Main quests - Cyberpunk 2077 Guide
  1. You will reach a warehouse with guards and you can get rid of them in any way you want, for example trying out the Her Majesty pistol received from Alex.
  2. With the threat gone, approach the security computer to tap into the surveillance feed. Reed should appear in the feed from camera 4 - we marked it on the screenshot.
  3. Turn right towards a locked entrance gate and hack it to let Reed in (getting a perfect score in the minigame is not mandatory).

Riding the elevator and eliminating the sniper

5 - Cyberpunk Phantom Liberty: You Know My Name - walkthrough - Main quests - Cyberpunk 2077 Guide
  1. You now need to use the nearby elevator - it will arrive on your floor with a group of new enemies emerging from it. Take advantage of the fact that you can surprise them from the upper balconies, e.g. by throwing a grenade.
  2. Board the elevator and ride to floor 67. Proceed to the meet location - an enemy sniper will be found nested there. You can sneak up and takedown him. You are now in position for the next objective.

Scanning the area and locating the meet location

Intially, you cannot fire yet, and can optionally recon the area - Cyberpunk Phantom Liberty: You Know My Name - walkthrough - Main quests - Cyberpunk 2077 Guide

Intially, you cannot fire yet, and can optionally recon the area. There are 3 types of targets to scan:

  1. opponent groups;
  2. security cameras;
  3. Mines - the first one is nearby the location where Reed begins his route.

In each case, a blue dialogue option will appear through which you can inform Reed of located threats. Finally, look to the left to scan a container bridge - this is the location which Reed must reach.

Protecting Reed and locating threats

6 - Cyberpunk Phantom Liberty: You Know My Name - walkthrough - Main quests - Cyberpunk 2077 Guide
  1. You must now protect Reed as he heads toward the scanned container bridge on the left. Start by giving him an order to move. If you've scanned the mine earlier, now Reed can automatically disarm it.
  2. After Reed places himself at the corner, locate the patrol that is going his way. Reed will hide and wait for the guards to pass.
  3. Next up, Reed will reach a red pathway. Use your scanner to track the cables. They will lead you to the upper fuse box (screenshot) - fire at it with the rifle and this will disable the gate.
7 - Cyberpunk Phantom Liberty: You Know My Name - walkthrough - Main quests - Cyberpunk 2077 Guide
  1. Next up, we have a pair of opponents. Wait for Reed's signal and countdown and kill the left guard at the right moment.
  2. Locate the second patrol to warn Reed again so he hides and waits out the danger.
  3. Don't forget about shooting a sniper at the left balcony (screenshot). This will prevent him from raising an alarm.
8 - Cyberpunk Phantom Liberty: You Know My Name - walkthrough - Main quests - Cyberpunk 2077 Guide
  1. You must use the surveillance feed to locate a guard that is not visible from your position. Look for a remote camera and hack it (Camera Control).
  2. After you switch to the camera feed, you need to Ping (mark) the guard.
9 - Cyberpunk Phantom Liberty: You Know My Name - walkthrough - Main quests - Cyberpunk 2077 Guide
  1. Return to V - a red silhouette of the guard will appear (screenshot above) and you can get him with your sniper rifle.
  2. Continue to watch Reed and shoot 2 additional guards who are heading his way.
  3. After Reed reaches his destination, V will remove the weapon from the mount, collecting an Iconic Rasetsu tech sniper rifle.

Putting on a suit and infiltrating the party with Reed

10 - Cyberpunk Phantom Liberty: You Know My Name - walkthrough - Main quests - Cyberpunk 2077 Guide
  1. Go to Reed and use the elevator. You must ride to the floor 99.
  2. Once you are in the laundry room, equip Stylish Suit from your inventory in the Outfits section.
  3. Enter the party area. You can mingle and take drinks from the waiters, or go straight to Reed, who is at the bar.

Finding Songbird at the party

11 - Cyberpunk Phantom Liberty: You Know My Name - walkthrough - Main quests - Cyberpunk 2077 Guide
  1. You have to wait until Songbird contacts you. To pass the time, you can walk around the hall, or e.g. approach various guests or listen to Silverhand's comments.
  2. Songbird will appear on the upper balcony (screenshot above). Get upstairs and talk to her. Reed will also join the conversation.
  3. The meeting will be interrupted by the appearance of Kurt Hansen. You can proceed with the conversation however you like, which may involve shaking his hand or refusing. After Kurt leaves, Songbird will reappear and you can finish the conversation regarding the next actions.

Purchasing chips

12 - Cyberpunk Phantom Liberty: You Know My Name - walkthrough - Main quests - Cyberpunk 2077 Guide
  1. Take the shard from the glass left by Songbird. You can watch the show on stage or go straight to the bar in the back where Reed awaits.
  2. The plan involves assuming the identities of 2 netrunners and you need to get more information on them at the roulette table. Start by visiting the credit exchange counter. Exchange at least 80,000 credits for chips.

Conversation with Aurore and Aymeric at the roulette table

13 - Cyberpunk Phantom Liberty: You Know My Name - walkthrough - Main quests - Cyberpunk 2077 Guide
  1. Head to the roulette table where your targets are - Aurore and Aymeric Cassel. Wait for the current game to end. In the next dealings, you can bet on red or black. At the same time, talk to the netrunners.
  2. Start by ordering drinks and scanning the targets. Choose answers that provoke better reactions from the interlocutors and encourage lively conversation. Successful choices will fill the calibration percentage bars faster - they appear on both left and right sides of the screen. Listen to Songbird's hints, too.
  3. At the end of the game, you can bet all in on red or black - this doesn't matter, as your targets will be the ones to win the game.

Leaving Black Sapphire

Regardless of how you handled the roulette table, Kurt will appear and blow your cover, but there will not be a battle ensuing - Cyberpunk Phantom Liberty: You Know My Name - walkthrough - Main quests - Cyberpunk 2077 Guide

Regardless of how you handled the roulette table, Kurt will appear and blow your cover, but there will not be a battle ensuing. Hansen will allow you to leave the building. Reach the elevator and ride down to the lobby where Reed is waiting. There are two variants to the final stage of the quest:

  1. Attack Hansen's men - you need to fight your way to the building exit (among enemies, there will also be machines) and lose the ensuing pursuit.
  2. Exit the skyscraper without picking up a fight - ignore guards' taunts and head slowly to the exit.

Regardless of how you've behaved, a new quest will be unlocked - Birds with Broken Wings.
