How to increase the fps in Anno 1800?

Anno 1800 became famous at the beginning of its launch from having a lot of performance problems, some cluttering and a small number of frames per second. You can fix this in several ways:

  1. Make sure you have the latest drivers for your video card installed. While this sounds like a simple tip, the latest drivers can really improve the game's performance and you'll get some FPS.
  2. Disable graphical options in the game menu. If you have a small number of frames per second, try to turn off the following graphical options. Change texture quality, reduce anti-aliasing, or reduce the quality of shadows. After that, run the game again and make sure that the speed of the game is already satisfactory.
  3. Change the graphics version to DirectX 12. A lot of people got a lot of fps when switching to DirectX 12. Try it cause it may increase the performance of the game for you.
  4. Start the game in offline mode. If possible, try running the game offline. In many cases, the game gets a very large charge of extra frames per second and runs much faster in offline mode!
  5. Many technical issues have been fixed with subsequent updates to the game. So make sure you play the latest version of the game.
