How to hunt rabbits? | Crafting The Flame in the Flood Guide

The rabbits are the only creatures in The Flame in the Flood (except Aesop) that do not mean any harm to Scout. However, they are useful as a source of protein (food), and skins (that you can use for crafting), as well as can be used in production of baits.

In order to use them for the above purposes, you have to hunt them first, using snare or box traps.

Snare trap

You can make it using the resources shown in the crafting menu.

You don't need a whole lot of resources for a snare trap, so it's good to always have one or two.

After having crafted the snare trap, select it from the inventory, and place on the ground. Go away for a while, and soon, a rabbit will fall into it.

The rabbit caught in such a way will be dead. You can now use it as food, a boar bait, and use its skin to craft clothing.

Box trap

It can be made in the crafting menu, using up some resources.

To procedure is identical as in the case of the snare trap. Catching a living rabbit will allow you to use it as a live-bait that the wolves will follow.
