Objectives Necropolis Guide

Last update: 29 July 2016

As was mentioned at the very beginning, side quests are a crucial part of each gameplay. They do not affect the very gameplay and may only be completed if the game generates specific opponents or items. Pay attention to these quests as you will be awarded with 1 point for each completed mission (during the gameplay and not when it is completed and listed at the summary screen)

At the beginning you will be given three tasks. Once you finish any of them, you will have to wait till you face the Brass One (the orange triangle with a window - narrator). It usually takes place before you start another level, and completed quests will be replaced with new ones. To track your progress, open your inventory. The following chapter will contain tips concerning specific missions.

{TOC H4}

Mark the area with chalk

A simple task that will require you to craft chalk. Once you have it, switch it to the first item and use it to mark several places (depending on how many are required).

Eat magic food

A more complex one, especially at the beginning of the game. You need to find a couple of portions of magic food that is rare and hard to find. You may also find purchase some from the merchants or buy a recipe that will allow you to make some on your own. Craft as many portions as you need, eat them and obtain an extra point.

Dismantle mechanical Knights

This task may take you some time, as you won't come across Knights too often, especially early in the game.

The screenshot presents how one of the enemies looks like. You shouldn't have difficulties with defeating them, as Knights are extremely slow and have short range of attack. Before you engage into battle, kill all surrounding monsters. It's best to fight the knights with weapons that deal fire damage.

Destroy red crystals

The screenshot presents crystals that you should get rid of, but before you can actually do that you will need to defeat enemies that will protect them. They will be normal opponents, and each sphere of crystals will summon a group of 2-6 Grines (red-tinged enemies).

The screenshot presents a single structure of crystals, and each one counts as 1. Completing this task may take some time, as you won't find more than 3 summoning portals per level. Each one consists of 1-3 structures. Remember that once you destroy them, you will receive additional crystals.

Gather potions

This mission is easy if you have any of the recipes that will allow you to craft potions. If you don't you will have to use whatever you can find in chests and fallen bodies.

To complete the task, several potions need to end up in your inventory. It doesn't matter how you actually get them.

Drink potions

A task similar to the previous one, the only difference is that you need to use them. Try not to do it without a good reason, as potions have powerful effects, and wasting them is not a good idea. Once you drink enough potions, the task will be completed.

Wipe out the Hoardmen

You will need to kill a certain number of opponents - Objectives - Gameplay mechanics - Necropolis Game Guide

You will need to kill a certain number of opponents. Hoardmen are not much of a threat, but you will need to lure them out in small groups as they usually travel in groups of 10. They have a pretty good view of sight, so watch your steps. It's highly possible that a good weapon will allow you to kill them with a single strike.

Plunder the chests

An easy quest if the game generates enough chests. It doesn't matter if you collect the content or not. All you have to do is to open the chest.

Neutralize Nagual

Nauguals are one of few enemies that have a distance attack. Once you kill one, you can always search the fallen body for a shield that is much better than the one you start the game with.

Their location is random, but you wont find many of them across the entire level - Objectives - Gameplay mechanics - Necropolis Game Guide

Their location is random, but you won't find many of them across the entire level. It all depends on the number of opponents the quest mentions. They are not much of a threat, but one should approach them with their shields up, and await their distance attack. Don't let them surround you.
