Meet with Elder Maxson

For mission details, meet with Maxson. During the conversation, he tells you objectives of your quest. You need to clear the area near Fort Strong of super mutants.

Board the Vertibird Gunship

You do not need to eliminate super mutants in the regular way. You do that from the board of the vertibird. After the conversation with Maxson, enter the vertibird. Automatically, you will man the gun and the flight starts. During the flight, you will have to destroy several targets.

During the flight, focus your attention especially on the Behemoth - the biggest of all super mutants. It is difficult to miss him.

Secure Fort Strong

As soon as you gun the Behemoth down, the vertibird lands. During the first part of the fights, stay by the gun and end eliminate enemies, After a while, the enemies should cease coming.

After you deal with all the super mutants with the gun, you need to get out of the chopper. Go to the center of the town. Remember to loot the enemies that you have killed, including the Behemoth. Enter Fort Strong Armory. In the building, there are several super mutants, including a legendary one.

After you have secured the ground floor, enter the lift and ride to the lower level. Here, you will have to defeat several more super mutants, including one with rocket launcher. Speak to Paladin Danse

After you have explored the underground, you can approach Paladin Danse and talk to him. Leave the building and fast-travel to Prydwen. Find elder Maxson and talk to him.
