Amount of gained XP depends largely on a mission's difficulty level. The biggest bonus is received on "Legend" level. However, this isn't the best choice if you want to focus only on getting XP fast. It is important to complete missions as fast as you can which is difficult to do on "Legend" - "Champion" or "Recruit" are a better choice.

You should also remember to select the right mission - the one you are the best at. This is tied with the aforementioned time required to complete a mission - the more missions you complete, the more XP you get. Choose the mission that you can complete fast.
