How to create a mermaid?

Mermaid race can be selected in the Create A Sim (CAS) menu.

Creating a mermaid is very easy. Just create a new Sim, go to the "Add occult Sim" tab and select "Add mermaid". Now you will see two portraits of one character - one of them depicts a human figure, and the second one a mermaid. The human figure is a standard Sim - you can choose his/her aspiration and a set of characteristics. Also, you can adjust appearance and clothes. In turn, as a mermaid you can choose fins and a few new pieces of clothes. The Sim created in this way will take its standard (human) form on land, and when it enters the water it turns into a siren - this applies not only to bathing in the ocean, but also in the bathtub.

Skills and characteristics of mermaids

Mermaids can affect the weather to some extent.

Gameplay as a mermaid carries a lot of possibilities. New activities are marked with a fin icon, some of which you can find by clicking on the ocean and some by clicking directly on your Sim or other Sims. Below you will find all the skills and features of mermaids:

1. The most important feature - mermaids require to be hydrated instead of keeping up a proper hygiene. Hydration will be restored by bathing at home, swimming in the ocean and having drinks. Hydration is very important, because it is used for mermaid's skills.
2. Mermaids can change the weather - to rain (even a total downpour), a thunderstorm with lightning or a clear sky. Just click on a mermaid and choose the weather change option.
3. Another interesting ability is the skill that summons a Dolphin. To do this, you must go to the ocean, click anywhere on the water and select the option to summon the dolphin. After a while your companion will appear next to your Sim - you can talk to him, play with him or even name him.
4. Mermaids can very quickly make friends with other Sims. This is done with unique options when interacting with Sims - "Mermaid's Kiss" and "Siren's Lullaby". These quickly improve the relationship between a mermaid and other Sim.
5. It is worth noting that as a mermaid you should not fish. It is possible, but after catching a fish, mermaid falls into a bad mood. However, you can summon a lot of fish to the fishery for other Sims by using the "Aquatic Lure" skill.
6. Mermaids feel great in the water. They can sleep in it, sunbathe or just have fun.
