In this chapter you will find full walkthrough of Prologue – Tom (Shiring, England, 1135 AD).
Take care of your close ones
Playing as Tom, use the firestone on the brushwood lying in the extinct hearth – the icon of the firestone can be found to the left of the inventory at the bottom of the screen. When answering Agnes, choose any option - you have to do it before the white bar disappears from the circle with the possible dialog options.
Upon getting the notification on acquiring a clue regarding the water, confirm it - the clue icon will travel to the right bottom part of the screen - you can use it on people (e.g. Alfred) and objects (the hearth) to get some additional information.
Next, take a closer look at the staff propped up against the tree (in the center of the screen). When the proper option appears, investigate it.
In the tab ‘Documents’ the first item will appear - Tom's staff. You can learn more about the main protagonist by reading the description attached to the staff).
Finally, take the cauldron lying to the left of the hearth and go rightwards to find some water. After getting deeper into the woods, investigate the frozen pool (next to the rocks on the right). Use the cauldron on the pool - in order to crush the ice click the mouse when the white circle at the bottom of the screen gets over one of the three celadon fields. After collecting some ice to the cauldron, go back to the family (go to the left). Hang the cauldron with pieces of ice over the burning hearth.
When talking to Agnes and the children, choose any dialog options. When the woman goes into labor, cover her with the coat that is lying next to her (at the bottom of the screen). Next, give children something to do - you can tell Alfred to boil some more water and ask Martha to gather more brushwood or add some wood to the fire. When they leave, tell the wife a story, and another one, and continue talking to her until Alfred comes back and places the cauldron with hot water next to Tom. Then look around (use to option to interact with the surroundings), put your hands in the cauldron and hug Agnes. If she has not given birth yet, comfort her with conversation (dialog is a good option here, as you can learn more about the characters). For comforting the wife you will be rewarded with the Good midwife achievement.
When the summary of progress from the prolog appears (it is dependent on the chosen dialogue options) confirm them by clicking the icon on the bottom of the screen.
