Slaughterhouse Clive and A Cysty-Dance with Death are two side quests which you can undertake during your stay at Monarch. Their objective is to resolve the conflict between Catherine and Clive. This page of our guide to The Outer Worlds has a detailed walkthrough for this quest.

Walkthrough
To activate the task, talk to Catherine Malin who can be found in Fallbrook. She will ask you to help her take over Clive's Boarst Factory. If you agree, travel to the C&P Boarst Factory. Before you do that, talk to Duncan Elley in Fallbrook. If you have sufficiently developed persuasion, lie, or intimidate, you can receive Boarst Factory ID Cartridge which will allow you to move freely around the object.
Once you approach the factory, you'll be accosted by guards - use persuasion, lie, or intimidation to get access to the factory. There are four ways of completing this task.
- Tampering with production
- Killing Clive
- Convincing Clive to cooperate with Catherine
- Killing Catherine (A Cysty-Dance with Death)
Tampering with production
There is a terminal on the platform surrounding the production hall. If you have sufficient engineering, you can reprogram production rate in the factory.
Killing Clive
You can use the same platform surrounding the production hall to gain access to Clive's office. This requires sufficient lockpicking skill. Talk to your target and kill him.
Convincing Clive to cooperate with Catherine
If you have sufficiently developed medical and persuasion, you can get Clive to cooperate with Catherine.
To complete the objective, you need to return to Fallbrook and convince Catherine to do the same.
Killing Catherine (A Cysty-Dance with Death)
During the conversation with Clive, you can also suggest eliminating Catherine. This begins another side quest - A Cysty-Dance with Death. Its only objective involves travelling to Fallbrook and eliminating Catherine.
