Shamblers are a new type of infected appearing in The Last of Us 2. You encounter them for the first time during The Tunnels, a stage where you play as Ellie. They are large monsters that conduct a charge once detected with an intent to poison or grab the targeted character.
Here's a rundown of key facts about Shamblers:
- The shambler's primary attack involves releasing a poisonous cloud - you need to stay at a safe distance from the monster in order to avoid injuries. Shambler also releases a cloud at the moment of its death.
- The monster is able to charge and grab your hero - focus on dodging to avoid losing health points.
- Don't forget to prepare for the encounter - plant trap mines, craft a Molotov cocktail or a pipe bomb, or equip a shotgun or a rifle. Moreover, consider eliminating all other infected from the area before beginning a clash with a Shambler.
- After the battle begins, you don't have to aim for vital points. Simply use your best weapons and gadgets until the monster dies.
