One of the quest items in System Shock Remake is isotope X-22 which you can add to your inventory. On this page of the guide, we inform where to find the isotope in Research Labs, how to remove isotope X-22 from suitcase in the irradiated area, and where to deliver the isotope on the Reactor deck.
Obtaining Isotope X-22

Isotope X-22 is one of quest items to be found on the Citadel. You can find it on the Research Labs deck.
You need a Science keycard - you'll find it in the Admin Security in the east.
With the card, go to south door which leads to an irradiated area.
Before entering the irradiated area, heal yourself and, if possible, obtain a Detox Universal Antidote. Fortunately, you can run through the contaminated area quickly and spend little time in it.
After entering the irradiated area, turn right and get to the door presented in the picture. Use the keycard again.
You will find yourself in a room with a suitcase surrounded by an energy field.
The button that disables this field is in the same room. Open the suitcase and take isotope X-22.
Leave the irradiated area quickly and use Detox if you have it.
Delivering the isotope to Radiation Shield Controls

Take the isotope to the Reactor deck. Head to the Radiation Shield Controls in the south-western part of the deck.
Approach the Radiation Shield console - insert the isotope in the open left slot.
You can now pull the lever to activate the radiation shield - the Radiation Shield Activated message should appear on the screen.
